Install SmarTrip app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using SmarTrip on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SmarTrip"
The search will reveal the SmarTrip app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SmarTrip is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SmarTrip.
Now enjoy SmarTrip on PC.

Useless and waste of time

This app is supposed to make the process simple and quick Add credit when you are low in funds... guess what? Wait 3 hours before those are added to your this app so if you didn't bring cash with you, well you will might find yourself trapped in the station for quite a while It also constantly sings you out so if you are in a hurry well, remember your user name, password and forget you will be at work in time or that you will reach your last bus while you are struggling with the app Waste of time we were better with the paper tickets of 10 years ago
Simplicity

No more using fare machine during pandemic. Easily track how much money is on your card(s). Yes, it takes a bit for purchase to go through when reloading, but previously mentioned feature allows you to know prior to being out of funds.
Great concept but needs work

It’s a great concept, definitely the way forward. The current app has design and functional issues, top and bottom edges of the app slightly exceed boundaries causing bad user experience; cursor position cannot be identified due to its color in the search field; “favorite routes” cannot be saved. The reported user experience is based on iPhone 13 pro IOS 15.0.2.
Major miss

TLDR - just use the smart trip machines. Hey the smart card machines have a line, but there's signs advertising the app! Ok cool, I can use the app! What you think it'll do - take the place of your metro card, w links to Apple Pay and immediate capability to manage card balance. What you get (after probably ten minutes of entering all sorts of personal data) - add your smart trip card. Ok. Add value. Yes! We're finally back to where I would've been using the machine. Eye roll. ....after purchase...Your value will be available in 4 hours. Given that I'd like to board the metro NOW, this is worthless. Had to reload at the machine in the end. (Fwiw the app warns you, the website doesn't.) Probably fine if you use it to keep the card loaded but for one off transactions it was not.
