What is CLEAR Pass?

The CLEAR Pass app for CBP Mobile Passport Control® allows eligible U.S. citizens and Canadian visitors to create a free profile and enjoy expedited entry into the United States. The app allows users to securely submit their trip information and form within the app, saving time by heading straight to the designated ‘Mobile Passport Control’ line. The app is available in major ports across the US, including airports and cruise ports.

Software Features and Description

1. CLEAR Pass will store your profile, and up to 12 family members, for FREE – saving you time every time you enter the United States.

2. If you’re a U.S. citizen or Canadian visitor, create a FREE profile with the CLEAR Pass app and enjoy expedited entry into the United States.

3. 1) If you’re an eligible traveler, create a quick profile with your name, gender, date of birth, passport information and country of citizenship.

4. Save time entering the U.S. with CLEAR Pass for CBP Mobile Passport Control®.

5. NOTE: CLEAR PASS DOES NOT REPLACE YOUR PASSPORT.

6. 2) Once you land in the U.S., securely submit your trip information and form within the app – valid up to 4 hours before you enter the inspection area.

Install CLEAR Pass app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using CLEAR Pass on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "CLEAR Pass"
The search will reveal the CLEAR Pass app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once CLEAR Pass is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including CLEAR Pass.
Now enjoy CLEAR Pass on PC.

Misspelled word makes this suspicious

Saw a mention of the the app app in an article about creating a health pass for attending events. Searched app store and saw in addition to the the app app, there’s a new free version called this app where you don’t need to pay a fee to store your info. So far so good right? But when I created my profile, it required a trip to be created. First I see that my current local airport wasn’t listed. Uh oh. Then I get to question 4 of the customs part: “…(examples include fruit, beef, chesse,…)” Chesse?!??!? CHESSE? That’s the level of quality control and proofreading of an app that purports to be a safe, legal way to store and present legal documents for going through customs?
Confusing and NOT a time saver.

I managed to use it once and it was not a good experience. I went thru the setup and I’ve no idea where that info went nor how to retrieve it when needed. Why are there two apps? What’s the difference? Do I need them both? Why? Wanna know what’s faster, easier and less stressful? Staying home and tearing apart my office looking for my vaccination card. THAT would be preferable than needing to use this app to get into my first concert in two years.

I tried to use this app for entrance to the US track and field Olympic trials and it never created a pass that was accepted. I tried to use it for the quarantine exception for Hawaii Sade Travels with no luck. Went through the entire process to successfully create a Hawaii pass but when I tried to link to the Hawaii Safe Travels site the this app was “not found”. Lots of time and effort for no benefit.

I have been dreaming of my next international trip so I tested this out. Looks super easy to use and I checked that this can be used at any US customs location that has a mobile passport control lane.
