Many many flaws

I’ve been playing this app Mysteries for years and have never had a problem with Her Interactive before. I have all of the available mac downloadable games and have never had issues until downloading this game. Midnight in Salem does not have the same type of gameplay as the other games. After playing this game for 15 minutes I believe this choice made by the developers was a huge mistake. The graphics are extremely choppy. It’s super difficult to move around and get the app to select objects. It says to right click to look around the frame. Whenever I right click the frame shoots to the left. There is a ton of lag and the game freezes constantly. I’ve had to give up on the game completely because one of the puzzles you have to complete to move on to the next scene just opens up to a black screen when you try to solve it. You can click on the puzzle and hear pieces moving but you can’t see what you’re doing so it’s impossible to complete. This game is a huge dissapointment to us this app fans who waited forever for it to come out. What’s truly dissapointing is this game has a great concept and could have been amazing had they chosen to stick to the original format. I’ve filed an issue with Her Interactive on their website. If they can fix these issues, I will update my review. Until then, do not waste your money like I did. I recommend you download any of the other games. Ghost of Thornton hall is especially great.
Beyond disappointing

Five years of waiting and being told everything would be improved and we get this? Terrible graphics, hard-to-use controls for laptop users, filled with glitchy bugs, puzzles are too easy and there are far too few, movie "cutscenes" are unecessary. This doesn't feel like a this app game at all. I haev a feeling Her is going to lose a lot of dedicated players. This feels like a slap in the fact to fans who have been waiting for this for so long.

I'm not sure why this game has such bad reviews! I have played this app games for years and this game was one of my favorites!!! The graphics were top notch! Everything was so life-like! I didn't have ANY issues with it glitching up! The new navigation system took me a while to figure out, but once I did, I LOVED it. I really enjoyed how the app is able to thoroughly look around rather than just looking in a few spots. Her Interactive, you did awesome and this game was worth the wait! I'm already anticipating the next release date!!!

so creepy and so much fun. i love that you can inspect every object carefully and every area too. its so much fun that you can do thousands of things while you get stuck. i don't understand why nobody likes the new navigation system cause its the same! just that in some parts you have to inspect the area with the right side of the mouse and the instructions are right there!
