I have a MacBook Air running Catalina OS and it installed in a snap for me on the Mac and also my iPhone 8, so maybe previous issues have been addressed. I was very pleasantly surprised... this was the easiest printer installation I have ever done. I started with my phone, and the app guided me step by step through the process; I thought the instructions were helpful and easy to follow.

The the app Printer app seems to work great for me. Just installed it from the Apple App store, it found my printer and Boom! My print job came out. Understand that a wireless printer must be on the same wireless network as your computer is so the app can find it on the network. I'd avoid giving up at the first sign of trouble b/c the apps must reach a broad audience and there are varying degrees of user competency on these things. Google for answers if it doesn't work at first. Someone else has always had a similar problem.
Can't install the app.

The app constantly requests access to the keychain, but when you enter the login for your keychain, the app does not accept it. You can't force quit it entirely either. this is the same on Mojave and Catalina. I have an the app Officejet pro 8030 series scan/print/fax machine. the app will not give you separate drivers from the website. Catalina and Mojave have only limited functionality for this printer with their onboard drivers. Moral to the story, don't buy an the app printer, ever.

Whatever problems they had must have been recently fixed. This app worked seamlessly the first time I used it. It's actually a well designed interface.
