Install Candide Labels – Plant ID app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Candide Labels on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Candide Labels"
The search will reveal the Candide Labels – Plant ID app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Candide Labels is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Candide Labels.
Now enjoy Candide Labels on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Candide Labels,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Candide Labels" » then Click "Install".
- Candide Labels – Plant ID will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This is a good application. If you could set up shared locations like a public garden where the labels are managed by the Horticulturists working the garden would make this application ever better.

Great Concept, Not Functional

Love the idea of the app. Unfortunately, the AR labels don’t save. After adding labels to the AR, saving them, and closing the app; I can never find them again after reopening the app. It asks me to rescan the area in a circular motion every single time and never finds the labels I previously “planted”, even though I’m standing directly where I stood when taking the pictures originally. If the app can’t save the labels, it defeats the purpose of using app. I really want to give this app 5 stars and actually use it. As it stands now, it’s not at all functional, but if it worked as advertised it could be a great app.
Why can’t I ID my own plants

I mainly want this for the convenient feature of virtual plant labels. I have a lot of weird species I wouldn’t expect an app to ID. I still would like the option of labeling my plants and then be able to share that with visitors who want to tour my garden.
