This is why digital content is a scam!

Talk about the app Lawyering Up, in the releases they want you to agree too. I deleted this app after reading their releases.
This is why you want to buy movies and music on disk. It is the only way you will be certain to be able to enjoy your purchase. The other issue is that the companies who control your ability to view your digital content keeps changing, and everyone I know, including myself have had our digital content disappear, without any recourse to get the content back.
I agree with the others in that it is fraudulent marketing. At some point we need to start a class action lawsuit against the app, for the money they are trying to take in selling our private information.

Shameless, desperate, deceptive Lionsgate

Zero stars was unavailable as a rating, or this would have it. The money spent on a movie that requires this app in order to redeem a movie is just the beginning — Redemption of a digital copy requires access to your camera, agreeing to future ongoing spam (can’t say no and get your movie), and strongly suggests your location should be known to them. This reeks of desperation on the app's part to harvest as much unearned marketing data as possible. I set up an email account for this one time redemption and immediately deleted it and the app after. They’ll get info from me still probably, but it won’t be quite the slam dunk they want. It will also be my last the app movie purchase.

A garbage app for a garbage idea

I agree with the other reviewers that this is a blatant data grab.
UltraViolet, and now Movies Anywhere, made the whole digital video experience decent. At this point the expectation of what a digital copy entailed was pretty much standardized, and the process for redeeming it was flexible and easy. the app has managed to throw that entire system into question with this app. If they think this app is acceptable to force onto their customers then I will no longer buy any more the app movies.
My hope is none of the other studios adopt a similar scheme and ruin what has been a pretty good arrangement. Bonus points if the app’s stock suffers a hit for going on this fool’s adventure.

That’s the best I can say about this app because I should never have been forced to download it or to sign up for more useless emails showing up in my inbox simply to have access to my digital copy which was part of my purchase. Yes, I can delete the app (at least until I buy another the app movie) and yes, I can unsubscribe from the app’s email list, but it’s still a hassle and I’m sure my email address will now be sold to multiple other places that I don’t want to receive email from. I did get my digital copy so the app works, but the instructions for how to do it without downloading the app don’t work.
