Install Scratch app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Scratch on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Scratch"
The search will reveal the Scratch app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Scratch is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Scratch.
Now enjoy Scratch on PC.

- Bug where saving a file with an existing name does not update the file on the file system

- Freezes and does not work on portable laptops such as MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro Retina

Great app but it currently can't update existing file

I love this app to teach my kid to code. However, as of July 2019 there is still a bug where if you try to save a file with exisitng name (which is the case 99%, that is what we coders do - we make a change and save it, make another change and save it) it warns that the file exists, asks if you want to Cancel or Replace, but if you click Replace it does not actually update the file on file system!!! This lead to so many frustrated lost coding sessions that it spoils the whole great effort people put in this project.

i installed it in the app store on my macbook pro when it opened it froze with a reminder forever till i quit the app so it doesent work on these: macbook, macbook pro, macbook air,macbook pro retina.so maybe just all the portable laptops and does not work on laptops
