4. 또한 일본은 16세기 말 임진왜란 때 조선으로부터 금속활자 인쇄술의 영향을 받은 것으로 알려져 있다.

5. 직지는 현재 전하는 금속활자 인쇄물 중에서 가장 오래된 책이다.
