1. A clever algorithm creates a musical sequence which is output as a midi signal which can be used to drive a software synthesiser or a hardware device.

2. AUv3 Midi sequence generator which generates musical evolving sequences that you can further automate or modulate via midi.

3. Various settings allow the sequence to be constrained to scales and chords, transposed on the fly and also allowed to gently mutate giving an evolving sequence.

Install Autony app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Autony on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Autony"
The search will reveal the Autony app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Autony is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Autony.
Now enjoy Autony on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Autony,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Autony" » then Click "Install".
- Autony will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Good start but still needs polishing

Compact and inexpensive algorithmic sequence generator - note that you need an AUv3 host to use it. I’m having real issues with the knobs (using Nanostudio2) which seem to have a mind of their own - I can’t reliably set any of the knobs, which almost seem to go to random locations when I lift my finger (??!!). NOTE: I still have the “bad glitchy knobs” problem even with the latest update, rendering the plugin nearly useless - this is such a cool app, but I can’t get in touch with the developer (no help on website). I would also love to know more about how to use the MIDI learn within an AUv3 Host app (like NanoStudio2) as that would make this unbelievably interesting. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 if that helps. Please update this app and I’ll be happy to change to 5 stars! I’ve also noticed audible differences between the notes you hear and what the rectangular “sequencer” blocks on the UI display. Overall good start to this app, but def needs some polishing. I also agree it would be good to be able to remember the good sequences (like a take-vault) somehow...

I bought this a while back and the controls were so buggy I couldn’t use the app. Developer has updated and it now works great. Really useful AU. I’ll probably pick up Cality now also.

General lack of support

The video and website make the plugin appealing however there is no instruction on how to generate sound with it in GarageBand for iOS, one of the two mentioned hosts for the app. I would think that tutorial would be required when releasing a musical app that makes no sound on it’s own.
