  • Gotta dish out that grind!

    By Shermia MacRierie (Pcmac user)

The only reason I gave it at my “PERSONAL” most, 4 stars, is that I want to keep going in this game and can’t stop! The daily grinds are limited to a certain amount of coins to collect and a certain amount of EXP your driver, kart and the glider get as well. 300 max for coins daily and I believe max level is 6 for most of the items. Of course In today’s great games, monthly payments and gacha systems are the normal, i hate it, because back in the greatest of all times I had bought, owned and never have to pay another dime for the same game! I was always on the same game!!!!!!countless hours!!!!!! And in this case, yes, I don’t like to spend money monthly on this game just to get more goodies. It is $5 to progress more in the game like 200cc class unlock, unlock more karts the more stars you collect on the courses, metal mario and seems like the coins keep coming. In today’s age I am warning people you will NOT get what you want, unless re-roll strategy, but I can hold on to this game for a while. So have fun on World Tour, don’t get upset from losing and breaking your phones because everyone is better than you, it’s part of growing! I just hope when the day comes for updates and getting to have the free to play player base BETTER. I can Relax than, just remember Nintendo..... I played all your games. Don’t be greedy;) love ya to Hyrule Castle and back!
  • A truly fun game

    By Aniel Gribben (Pcmac user)

For a day one experience I personally do enjoy the game as it is at the moment. For my 6s, the game runs smoothly and I encounter very little to no lag while playing. The gameplay is a unique blend of the Mario Kart formula with a spin on it. The spin is the customizable karts and characters being locked by a pay wall. Now this would be a major problem if the majorly effected gameplay but at this current time it can make getting stars a bit easier. How it works is certain characters, karts, and gliders give certain boosts to your game. I have made it past the daisy cup and have collected all stars, meaning it is possible and not super challenging to obtain these stars. The “battle pass” is an ok addition which gives some extra content. For five dollars a month it is the only reasonable piece of in app purchase. However the gems are STUPID expensive. When you have to pay roughly 25 dollars for a multi you will not run into pay to win players at all due to these steep prices. My overall experience with this game has been a blast and I personally can’t wait for further updates in the game and it is definitely worth your time because the entry fee to the game is FREE!
  • Off to an incredible start.

    By Shalesha Budcock (Pcmac user)

Keeping in mind that it literally JUST came out and isn’t going to start off perfect, I think it’s off to a beautiful start. I have been waiting for Mario Kart to come out on IOS for a long time, and although some people have had their issues with it so far, I’m looking past simple things such as “the controls bother me” or “it should be in landscape rather than portrait” because those are simple things that can be fixed easily with a few updates as well as just getting used to the game being on a phone rather than a console. The overall game, however, with the characters, carts, coins, gliders, etc. is nothing short of a masterpiece and brings back a familiar wave of nostalgia not from the original Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo, but more so the Mario Kart on the Wii that I personally grew up with. So far (apart from the daily limitations on upgrades and points which I’m not necessarily a fan of) I am absolutely in love with everything about this game and am nothing short of excited to see the future of it, specifically in regards to the future multiplayer mode. To the creators: Thank you, and keep up the good work.
  • Amazing game! But one question?

    By Zacheria Dewerson (Pcmac user)

First let me start with my question to get straight to the point. Why is there a limit on XP you can gain on the characters and vehicles each day? I can understand the coins I guess to an extent. But why the experience? I’m still able to beat a bunch of the levels and keep pressing through cups, but it’s pointless because I don’t even get experience for any of it? This is an absolutely amazing game despite whatever everyone keeps trying to say about it. The controls are fine once you get used to it and it’s cool because it’s different. Game play is smooth and so far I haven’t noticed any bugs. Paying for the gold membership is worth it but the whole idea of it is dumb in my opinion. I already pay a yearly subscription for my Nintendo switch account so why should I have to pay for a membership to this game? I would understand if people without a Nintendo account had to pay for the gold but why make Nintendo account users pay for it? You have to make money I understand but don’t punish the people already loyal to your company.
