Install Dictionary: Wiktionary Reader app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Dictionary on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Dictionary"
- The search will reveal the Dictionary: Wiktionary Reader app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Dictionary is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Dictionary.
- Now enjoy Dictionary on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Dictionary Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Dictionary,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Dictionary" » then Click "Install".
- Dictionary: Wiktionary Reader will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Missing Functions

I downloaded this because it depicted and highlighted that there were IPA pronunciation guides and syllable break indicators for the words. Neither of these is present in the downloaded version. So its not as comprehensive as it is presented here on this app page. The amount of words that are defined in this app, does impress me though.

I was looking for a nice app interface to the great wiktionary.org web site. This is not it. I'm not sure where it gets its data from, but it's hit or miss what you'll get for any given word.
