Nice Idea, but narrow view of our beautiful race...very disappointing and unfortunate.
By happyHPcustomer (Pcmac user)
I bought this app and downloaded it very excited and ready to share with my friends however I was very disappointed to find that there was no representation of my skin tone in it, or even close. I am a very fair skinned black woman and I love every shade of black. As a black woman, I would never create an African American app promoting positive sisterhood and leave out certain shades of our race as if they don’t exist. What’s even worse is I emailed the company to try to understand why, and never got any correspondence as if someone was just ignoring my comments and questions. Overall, the idea of this app I think is wonderful but to ignore a really concerned customer who was actually very excited about this product is very disheartening to me and as a result, even though I paid for the app and was very excited to support, I cannot continue to support a company that acts as if I do not exist. I will be deleting this app from my phone after this review. It is very unfortunate that these are people of my own race. My only hope is that this company will read my review and re-think their idea of sisterhood and how they represent our race. It says a lot about who you are...I guess I’m not black enough to be represented, shame.

Love it but a few tweaks would make it even better
By Strwberri2 (Pcmac user)
So I was so excited to download and use the keyboard. The criticisms I have are not big deals but would make the app even better for the end user. I still use it daily and prefer it to regular iPhone emojis when applicable.
1) sometimes the mojis are out of focus and fuzzy unless the XL size is used
2) it lacks the ability to set a default skin tone & size and the keyboard does not open to the last selected choices either
3) the mojis do not automatically drop into the message compose field when tapped

Emoji shows up as an attachment
By @fantasy_5 (Pcmac user)
This app is cute and I’ve been using it since I decided to support it an go with the paid version. The first issue I have is the emojis show up as an attachment image rather than an actual emojis no matter if used via text or social network! I want to use an actual emoji not an image when I’m messaging. Please fix this! The emojis can be used on Twitter, but not yet on Instagram, etc. I hope you guys expand so they can be used across all social platforms. For the settings where you can select the size and skin tone of the emoji... I would like to be able to set defaults for it’s skin tone size and have it remain for whenever I used the app until I change it versus having to select s, m,l, or xl every time. I would also like to see many more options for facial expressions, etc. So far...so good. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Where are the 200 emojis
By IandT'smom (Pcmac user)
I’m all for supporting minority entrepreneurs BUT, I’m not seeing the diversity within the app itself. Don’t know if I’m missing something, I could be but since I paid, I will hold on to it for a little while. I did initially download it on my iPad prior to using on my iPhone so that may be the difference. I’m a natural with a tapered cut, so I would like all my emojis to also have a tapered cut, why do I have to show ‘talk to the hand’ with a braided updo or ‘yay’ with shoulder length stretched hair, when I have neither. I do think they are cute, but I’ve seen other apps for women of color, which allows me to make my emojis more tailored to who I really am, for only $1 more and I’m willing to pay that if this app, can accommodate. So for now, my rating will remain a 3, will update if I’m in error and it’s simply a matter of USER ERROR.
