  • Needs improvement

    By Xfit127 (Pcmac user)

The attached videos don’t always stream properly despite being on a WiFi network. The max lift page can’t be edited from what has been previously entered so if you don’t know your max for a particular lift until after you’ve tested it, you have to re-enter all your lifts again under a new date. That’s a pain. Depending upon what program you’re signed up for, you don’t know how the meso-cycle will play out because programming only reveals itself a week or so in advance. You won’t know what you’re doing 4 weeks out or when the de-load is programmed. I don’t have Facebook so there is no community support outside of Facebook. On the programming front, the Power program starts out with testing max on specific lifts throughout the first week. Yet on the first day of programming they have a bicep and triceps superset programmed to failure. That’s just poor programming. If you’re testing various lifts throughout the first week on compound lifts it does not make sense to program this in that week. I’m in my mid 40s and I couldn’t recover by biceps and triceps sufficiently for when I had to test max reps pull ups or 1 rep max on the inclined bench later in the first week. Very disappointing for a $90 monthly subscription.
  • Sound only plays with headphones

So far, I enjoy the app, the workouts provided, and the videos demonstrating some of the workouts and the techniques. Only problem I am having right now, is when I am watching a video in the app, to see how to properly perform a workout, there is only sound when my AirPods are connected. When no earphones are connected, there just isn’t any sound. 🤷‍♂️
  • App is not up to standards

By Jonathan K's App Review (Pcmac user)

This app is not coded well. The functionality of the app is very basic! The whole calendar structure thing is not very intuitive at all. On all new iPhones at X and above your whole bottom menu is blocked by the iPhone slide up menu. Add a constraint to your menu so the menu sits above the slide up bar. If you need an example look at ESPN app. Also when I tap to enter in my weight have the keyboard default to the .numberPad as no one is trying to use the standard keyboard. Add the functionality to sign up for your programs in the app! You can even use subscription via Apple In-App Purchases. For how expensive the programs are the app should be much better. Also enable dark mode!
  • Great concept. Price is steep

    By Robbied13slt (Pcmac user)

First couple days into in and still figuring it out. Will update if needed. I signed up for the premium package for the diet aspect which is $90 a month. Unfortunately I’m finding it to be a waste. You can put the same goals into MyFitnessPal for free and get the same output for your macros. The sample daily meals works, but the outputs are a little silly and don’t really help with planning for the week or grocery shopping. Example: for lunch I need 5 ounces of steak and 60 ounces of spaghetti squash. I don’t think I can eat 4 pounds of squash in one meal. Also, no notes for tracking workouts? You just need a text field next to the exercise so I can type in the weight used and how many reps I got in. Seems like a simple addition. Hopefully there will be some changes in the coming weeks, or I’m probably just going back to MyFitnessPal and BodySpace workout plans from the past
