1. [*1] To use DJM-REC with our digital send/return- equipped DJ mixers (i.e. the DJM-V10, DJM-V10-LF, DJM-TOUR1, DJM-900NXS2, DJM-750MK2, or DJM-450), update the mixer’s firmware to the latest version via our support page [ ].

2. Analog recording while your device isn’t connected to a mixer is simple using an external microphone or audio interface with the iPhone or iPad’s microphone function.

3. Swipe the loudness slider in DJM-REC to increase audio pressure and smoothly adjust the sub bass slider to create punchy, heavy, vibrant bass sounds.

4. Editable track time-stamps are automatically created thanks to the fader information transmitted from the DJ mixer to the app, making track-list creation simple.

5. Record audio from a digital mixer directly into digital format – there's no need for analog conversion.

6. Install DJM-REC on your iPhone or iPad, then simply plug your device into any compatible DJ mixer*1 using a single USB cable.

7. Control the peak limiter in your DJ mixer via the app and avoid digital clipping with the tap of a button.

8. And, if you use a CDJ-3000 with the DJM-V10 or DJM-V10-LF, track titles and artist names can also be added.

9. The port is on the top of the mixer rather than the back, so connecting is a breeze – even in a smoky club.

10. Effortlessly live-stream your mix through Twitch, YouTube, Facebook Live, Instagram, or Snapchat.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "DJM-REC"
The search will reveal the DJM-REC: DJ live/recording app app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once DJM-REC is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including DJM-REC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use DJM-REC,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "DJM-REC" » then Click "Install".
- DJM-REC: DJ live/recording app will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Amazing... especially for the price!

When I bought my iPhone X, instead of trading in my iPhone 6 (or selling it), I decided to keep it to use for other things. It’s a camera, music player, a “hey Siri” device, and now it’s a perfect mix recorder and live stream device! This way I keep my main phone for calls/texts and have my old phone dedicated to other tasks. Recording mixes is easy with great sound quality. Track markers are inserted depending on the mixer fader movements. Then you get a LOUDNESS and SUB BASS slider to apply a quick “mastering” to the mix that actually sounds pretty good! Then you can upload the mix to SoundCloud, MixCloud, Dropbox, etc. Everything has worked perfect so far. Plus the GO LIVE feature allowing you to go live with your device’s camera while getting perfect audio direct from the mixer is awesome! Pioneer DJ leads the industry for a reason... this is a small example why... they are always first to bring tools you never knew you needed but soon can’t live without!
True disappointment

I really want to love this app, I really do. The convenience, the accessibility. It just doesn’t work. Every time I record a mix, it receives the signal, I can see it in the app while I’m recording the time codes are correct, and wave form is visible. As soon as I hit stop record after let’s say, an hour and a half mix. It only recorded 4 minutes. 4 MINUTES! What a disappointment. All of that time and energy that you’ll never get back, WASTED. I updated all of the firmware within my mixer, my phone, and my app is up to date. Get it together, Pioneer. I would use this app as a just in case measure and always connect your trusty recorder through the back of the mixer if you don’t want to be supremely let down. Not worth the money.
Mixer Compatibility Buggy

I used this app the day after it came out to record a set on a DJM 900nxs2 with updated firmware. Multiple dialog boxes popped up prompting me to update hardwares firmware, which it already was. The app would then register audio from the mixer, record for a few minutes, and then the dialog box would come up again and all audio would cease to record. Hopefully this is fixed soon, otherwise this app is a novelty at best. Great concept.
Great App for pioneer DJ’s

I recently purchased a pioneer djm-450 mixer and I love how this works with the app. Since then, I have been using the live stream on FB, and come to love it!! The sound quality sounds crisp and clear and haven’t experienced any problems... yet! I gave it a 4 because I would like to adjust the volumes to be a little higher on the live stream part of it. Would recommend to anyone with a pioneer mixer that is compatible with the app.
