Wonderful design, buggy performance (especially with Apple Watch)

As a longtime user of Things 3, I’ve found a lot to like in the app. It’s pleasing to use. The gamification makes productivity a bit more compelling. And the day-planning assistant makes me actually look forward to putting together the day’s to-do list. Sometimes, though, the app behaves in troubling ways. The Apple Watch app only sporadically shows the items in “Today,” even though the complication accurately indicates how many items there should be. The iPhone app sometimes freezes up while trying to scroll, and needs to be force quit. I have faith that the developer, who seems both committed, responsive, and prolific, will work to address these issues — but currently this awesome experience comes with a few bugs.

My whole life I’ve used a paper planner. And I freaking love my planner so it’s been a super finicky transition that originally started with my Apple Watch purchase. I love love love the idea of seeing what I need to do with work/school/etc quickly on the watch face. So I decided to look for an app that would be able to replace my very high expectations; mainly 1)sync between watch, iPhone, ipad, Mac 2) organized, clean note taking with project assignment 3)not a million freaking dollars 4)pretty, but not frilly. 5) compatible (in a way) with calendar events (importing them seamlessly so I can see everything side by side) 6) good watch interface but not too cluttered. I literally started on the top productivity apps and none before “the app” even compared. OmniFocus came close, but the app did it better and about $100 cheaper. I promise. And I’m usually the sort of person that will choose something for name brand lolllll Also to the developer- you obviously care. Keep doing you man. I always check the one star reviews first and I immediately noticed that you responded to every single one. It’s why I straight up purchased the app before trying it, and I don’t regret it!!! Rock on dude
Not syncing with Apple Watch

Overall I like the concept of the app. It does need some tweaks and features added on to make it a top contender amongst the tasks apps. I’m keeping it on my phone for now to see where it goes. I have some suggestions if the developer is open to it.
Great app - UX needs some work

PRO: Love the app, colors, and approach. The ability to set repeated tasks, scheduled tasks, and more has made my day to day as a work from home parent much easier to manage. Recommendations & Critical Feedback: The app has so much potential but the UX is very spotty. Several functions do not perform what they generally indicate. It’s hard to navigate around and many of your first time users are not going to experience some of the app features. Example - First time users may delete the example list and tasks. If they want a fresh slate and delete the list, then they will not be able to add one without a subscription. They will miss out on some unique features baked in here. I ended up uninstalling, reinstalling, to then know to just ‘rename’ the list so I can give it a real run. The tutorial could use some TLC and if you want to access the menu, go to “...more”. Feature request: SUBTASKS would be the shizzle. I suggest allowing users to try the pro version for a window of time to pilot all the features and make sure it will compliment their daily routine. I hope to see some improvements but liking it so far! If you have a TestFlight program, I’d love to participate.
