1. MetaChat is a text-only viewer for all Virtual Worlds based on the OpenSimulator/SecondLife© software for 3D worlds.

2. This is no mobileSL/OpenSim, it is a viewer for mobile devices but it has the same system requirements than any other viewer.

3. You need to create accounts for each world you want to enter before MetaChat can use them.

4. Informations and passwords are only stored local on your device and send to the servers.

5. We do not read, store, manage or use any of these informations.

Install MetaChat app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using MetaChat on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "MetaChat"
The search will reveal the MetaChat app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once MetaChat is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including MetaChat.
Now enjoy MetaChat on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use MetaChat,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "MetaChat" » then Click "Install".
- MetaChat will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Disappointed really.

This app has been around for years now for IPhone. You’d think after being here years, they would finally get it right and make a good version by now. This app has the same problems as it did in 2017 when I last had a iPhone ( yeah got the iPhone 12 pro max). The same exact problems, lots of random crashes, forced log offs and especially if you have a different app opened. The friends list hasn’t bugged out just yet but I’m sure they will soon. The app dinging notification still does not work when having the app running in the background or when off. The list goes on and years later it’s the same thing. The developer has a chance to jump ahead of linden labs and is not going to be ahead when LL gets their own app into the app shop probably before 2021 ends. Anyhow I don’t want to hate, this is the only SL app for iPhone since sparkle has been long gone. Still I can’t help to be disappointed. Hire someone to help you. With that all said I appreciate you having this app available but I question what’s the point if it’s just gonna kick me off.

I got Second Life as one of my friends plays music in SL and I came to support her. Once in a while she is live when I’m not home, so I thought this app would work. It did. But it’s gotten progressively worse. It seems to always crash now when going to the Map Chat tab. Every time. On the rare occasion I do get to the map chat, it will freeze up and stay frozen when I start typing. I thought maybe it was because it was saving the chat on my phone so I turned that off, and it still does it. Deleting and reinstalling works for maybe the first time and then it goes back to freezing up again. If it’s not fixed I’m going back to the way I used to do it and access my computer at home remotely

I have been using metaverse for years and with iOS 11 it was killed off and removed from past history. This apple is still a bit rough around the edges, but in my opinion seems more stable than metaverse has been in years. You can view profiles, send tps, chat with bubbles like iOS. Even the rl tab shows profile pictures there. As long as development continues it show be a great product

Thank you for the update to add parcel music, it’s a small detail but one I missed from the old app. I am also impressed by the ability to see textures in inventory, this actually was convenient for a customer issue I had recently. I’m puzzled at how to chat or IM with someone not on my friends list, though. How is it done? I found the button to search for other avatars, and I got a namelist, but clicking on the person’s name did nothing when I was on my iPhone just now. I will try again with the iPad and see if it’s any different. Wow! And landscape mode is working on the iPad! This makes typing a quick IM or group message so easy, as I use an external keyboard. Thank you so much!
