1. The "slide rule" or "front" side includes a circular log-log scale that can be used for multiplication, division, fuel consumption and time/speed/distance calculations.

2. The "wind" side is a vector computer used to determine flight headings, wind correction angle etc.

3. The windows on the front are used for airspeed, various forms of "altitude' and mach number calculations.

4. Philip Dalton, USN for purposes of training and flight calculations.

5. Sparky's E6B emulates a mechanical E6B Flight Computer.

6. The app can be used to perform calculations, or to practice and learn how to use a mechanical E6B.

7. There are also various conversions available, such as nautical-miles/statute-miles/kilometers, fuel and oil volume and weight.

8. The E6B is an analog computer invented in the 1930's by Lt.

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Sparky's E6B Lite"
The search will reveal the Sparky's E6B Lite app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Sparky's E6B Lite is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Sparky's E6B Lite.

Nice, but...

Too small / no way to zoom, that's my biggest issue. Also no support for landscape orientation or multitasking on the iPad where such a tool would be great next to / on top of e.g. ForeFlight.

The size seems fine to me. The pro version has a bug: the bottom temp scale superimposes on the lower digital readings.

Completely broken in landscape and split view

Fails silently in split view and landscape, but it does not warn you that it is broken. It just gives you wrong numbers. This is very dangerous.
