    Dr. Brewer’s this app app is a powerful facilitator of change, by Inviting you to get to know you with a curious and gentle approach tuning into what your body is sharing with you in the moment. I love the pace, common sense approach of each module, and cannot say enough good things about the supportive community of other participants and facilitators. I started with the eat right now app, and learned a lot about myself, and recognized that my food habits were connected to anxiety. Both are wonderful apps that you can personalize. This experience is so much different than the traditional “will power” and “grit yourself through it” type New Years resolution approaches. (And you can nerd out on how the brain works, will power, not actually the most powerful part of our brain!) the app provides tools that strengthened awareness of my thinking and allowed me to create a foundation of acceptance and self appreciation. Judd and his team are sincere and awesome at what they do. Invite you give it a try!

    ME-a huge overthinker, and by choice, choosing to abstain from content.... for example reading, clicking on links, watching videos, podcasts, or other stuff which brings my mental activity up. At the time I started this program I was not yet abstaining from content. Bravely and joyfully, I gobbled up a lesson per day. While part of me thinks It was to fast, I must say that the information was presented a good way that really helped me learn quickly- clear, consice, and with a light touch (or smile) that really helped me take the leap of faith I needed to really start practicing this stuff. I want to add that there are are different exercises, called check ins, and stress tests, that have been training me to alocate more awareness to my other sences, and focus my attention mindful/skillful way. There is also a community where you can share your experiences and offer support to to others- Committing to doing one journal entry a day reeled me back in when I lost touch with the program and my goals.

    I sum up this experience this way: I am more aware of my thoughts and feelings since beginning this program. The tools I’ve learned I can apply to aspects of my life other than anxiety, like eating, exercising, socializing, and having fun. The steps presented build on each other, and I find myself at the top of a hill which was easy to climb. Two things in particular I learned to embrace. The first is that my thoughts are not who I am. The second may seem contradictory, but it’s like a motivating factor for me. And that is my mantra, which is “I’ve got this.” In the most important thing is that I’ve learned to trust my body. Having PTSD from early childhood trauma made me distrust it and actually ignore it pretty much entirely. It is such a pleasure to say hello to it. This app encourages me to consistently check in with what my body is saying. I find it has a lot to tell me.

    I was so well connected with persistent anxiety that Anxiety just about ran my life, my thoughts, decisions and relationships. Have just finished all of the modules. Since beginning the modules and practicing the skills each day I have been more and more aware of the anxiety, able to breath my way to freedom...my hunched shoulders have gone down 2-3 notches. Was surprised to realize how tense my shoulders were during meditation. What a gift this has been. I am probably one of the older students and I didn’t want to age with all of the ruminating thoughts going through my head thereby missing precious time in my life...I want to be Mindful...able to enjoy each moment that I can. I have decided to do the modules a few more times...there is so much information to all of them and that is what I want in my bones especially to share with clients, my children and grandchildren.
