Top Pcmac Reviews

  • A monopoly where they act as lawmakers

    By TrailBlazer89 (Pcmac user)

Apple’s review process biased. It’s opinion based and full of flaws. If reviewer wakes up in a bad mood they will find a way to reject your the app, after all they only have a book of rules for you to obey by. If a reviewer is new, then your the app will get rejected bc they are not properly trained and rather err on the side of the developer. If your the app is complicated, then it will get rejected bc each time it’s reviewed the person reviewing has no context of previous interaction. It’s a monopoly and they act as the law. What they don’t realize is that this destroys small companies along with the lives of everyone that works there. We work 100+ hrs a week to make our the app great for the users only to see a rejection notification for whatever reason they come up with. To give you an example our the app was once rejected because we had “hidden features”. When we finally got a reply after weeks, we were told that they didn’t know where of what was hidden bc it was hidden. Well, neither did we. Shame on you Apple! Jobs is crying in heaven about how this company is being managed. Enough is enough.
  • Poor sign in experience

    By robotspacer (Pcmac user)

For some reason this the app isn’t set up for shared web credentials. This allows apps to automatically suggest the correct password above the iOS keyboard. It’s convenient, but it’s also secure—it verifies the the app is associated with the site and authorized to use that password. It’s so bizarre that a brand new Apple the app wouldn’t use this feature introduced three years ago that I had to triple check I wasn’t falling for an elaborate phishing attempt. On top of this the sign in form works very poorly with password autofill—the password field disappears after you select the password, then you have to tap a button and fill it in again. Once you’re past the sign in form, the the app is well made and useful—a solid improvement over the previous iTunes Connect the app. I do wish it offered access to a bit more—one thing in particular I’d love to see is my next payment date and amount.
  • Extremely frustrating

    By stephena8792 (Pcmac user)

I sent my the app in for review. I am using a stripe payment API which processes through my website for my customers to buy adpower credits. I am rejected partly because of minor issue with meta data clarifications, Which I am fine with. But, it seems I am being coaxed into changing my entire payment process I have implemented within the the app. I am being urged to convert to Apple Pay. My developer told me I don’t need to, because we are using stripe payment apis processed through my website and not in the the app. But it seems the only way I can clarify this is to wait on emailed responses. It would be nice to be able to speak with someone over the phone. But I’m waiting on email responses. Very frustrating. I have been told Apple Pay charged much higher fees. Why would I switch to Apple Pay if it will cost more money? Both are respectable payment processing systems. I will be very upset if I am forced to switch.
  • An improvement, but still lacking

    By matt.maurer (Pcmac user)

This is a definite improvement over the old the app, but it still makes odd choices that limit its usefulness. Why is Apple insistent I need to tap multiple times to see my sales? I’m guessing 80% of developers use this the app to check their sales first and foremost. That functionality is on a secondary tab... why?? Also what happened to text labels? Tell me I had 100 downloads yesterday, don’t show me a vague but pretty graph. Being able to respond to reviews is great and I appreciate the functionality. I just wish Apple could nail the basic functionality of the the app first.
