What is AI Transcribe & Dictate Pro?

Dictation - Speech to text is an app that allows users to dictate, record, translate, and transcribe text using speech instead of typing. It supports over 40 dictation and translation languages and can be used with nearly every app that can send text messages. The app also features audio recording, transcription of recorded audio files, iCloud synchronization, and support for impaired users.

Software Features and Description

1. Never type any text, just dictate and translate using your speech! Nearly every app that can send text messages can be configured to operate with 'Dictation - Speech to text'.

2. Using the audio file transcription you can transcribe recorded audio files - containing speech - into text at a single click.

3. Dictation - Speech to text allows to dictate, record, translate and transcribe text instead of typing.

4. It uses latest speech to text voice recognition technology and its main purpose is speech to text and translation for text messaging.

5. In order to send your dictated text messages quickly, there is a "Share"-button that allows to launch the target app, i.e. Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Flickr, Email or whatever else is capable of receiving text from the system.

6. Dictate uses the builtin speech to text recognition engine.

7. Dictate offers 3 text zones - indicated by language flags - for which you can configure a different language in the settings.

8. Having enabled iCloud, your text is automatically synchronized across all your devices running Dictate, e.g. iPhone, iPad, macOS and Apple Watch.

9. Dictation - Speech to text supports more than 40 languages.

10. Both, your audio recordings and your text files can be accessed via the Apple 'Files' app.

11. Dictate now supports the system font size setting and provides configurable button sizes for visual impaired users.

Oh wow, this is the best Voice-to-text application I have ever seen, and I have tried at least s dozen like this. I have been able to use it without having to re-hit the mic button upwards of 10 minutes, and it continues to transcribe what I dictate. This is perfect for students who want to dictate papers on the go. You can do your papers in the car, you can write memos, all kinds of things. You don't even have to add the punctuation, although you better do it later. There's only one annoying thing: the ding at the end of recording. When you hit stop, it dings. That is a little bit annoying in a little bit useless. But the fact that it doesn't stop after 30 seconds is amazing. You don't lose your concentration because you feel like you did not hit the microphone and time. This is pretty accurate. I'm not sure how accurate it is in comparison with the on the go app that Dragon by Nuance is, but it is very good, and only cost three dollars for the pro version, and well worth it. Dragon cost $15 a month, and I find it not worth the bang for the buck. I would highly recommend this. I hope the developer gets to sell this to 10,000 people, or even 100,000 people. He's got a great product – just get rid of the ding sound that the software makes, when you hit the stop button.
Pretty good app but weak on initial support

Launching Dictate Pro immediately produced a “Recognition not available (No internet!)” message even though I’m connected (writing this review) and clicking the Dictate button didn’t do anything. Clicking “Help” took me to a macOS support page (even though I installed the app on an iPhone), so I ended up googling iOS dictation info and got the app running on my own. The app actually works great! It’s quick, forgiving of minor background noise, and isn’t a resource hog. This is impressive enough for a four star rating (in spite of an abysmal initial experience).

Powerful, simple and efficient. The speech recognition works great and it motivated me to retrain Siri to understand me better; now it works flawlessly! I absolutely love the ability to have three ongoing dictations simultaneously (I wish there were more slots available) and I am able to jump to any topic and append thoughts on the fly. I do love the ability to edit but would love to see some new voice features implemented, such as: • Insert Date • Insert Time • Insert Location • Text Formatting. Overall, Excellent job!!! - Luigi M. This is a superb product. Several years ago, probably 15, when Dragon was first introduced, I tried the product, and it was probably 70% accurate, and I tried the dragon through the years with each of the new iterations. The latest iteration was pretty good on my PC. I am now dictating this review on my iPad. I am very please with the accuracy and dependability of this product, and I recommend it to many people.
