  • Great

    By iAi95 (Pcmac user)

The app keeps getting better and better with every update but still far from the website. For example in the website we can see how eclipse looks in my own location or a custom location but in iOS all we see the total view of a regular eclipse.
  • Worthless without paid upgrade

By The man who never was (Pcmac user)

As it is, the free version is a bit of a head-scratcher. "Settings" reveals things like being able to look at their other apps, or information about what version of app this is. The only thing remotely approaching what one would call a "setting" is being able to see the purchase upgrades, which is in fact not a setting at all, so why they're labeled "Settings" is frankly a bit of a mystery. There is a list of eclipses, if I don't like the current one shown for the other side of the equator, but I have to select each one just to see where it might be, and once I start approaching something that might appear to be even remotely interesting, I find it's not included and that'll be $1.99 just to see if it's even in the same hemisphere, thank you very much. While I understand these apps don't develop themselves, and it takes time and effort to put them together, time and effort that someone(s) would appreciate being monetarily reimbursed for (and I'm fine with that), when a free app screams "FREE" so loudly, and with so many exclamation points, there really is little point in even investigating purchasing upgrades with such little promise of acquiring anything useful in return. What I wanted was something to alert me to and research upcoming eclipses of interest. Obviously I was mistaken thinking this would be it.
  • Great app - looking towards the future!

By Watch the purge!!!! (Pcmac user)

I think the app is great but needs to become almost exactly like the website! The website is absolutely brilliant and the app needs an option to look at any eclipse someone could want! I know you guys have plans to start rolling this out but it would be nice sooner than later. Hopefully you can get a few of the big upcoming/past eclipses into the app while you work on getting the app like the website. I’m hoping this update is soon because I love the app and want to have a reason to keep going on it! -Also it would be nice to have it say how long totality will last at the chosen location on the map
  • potential, but it's a delete for me

    By Blue Pine (Pcmac user)

I actually paid. But turns out that it didn't have a way to set location such as a list of cities, or latitude settings, or even tapping a map. So when I reluctantly turned on Location Services, I took screenshots of info. Good thing because it didn't even save my coordinates. Went back to being useless as soon as I turned off Services. Won't buy from them again unless they provide a better design, free of Location Services. If they had allowed me to input latitude and longitude, and saved that information, and allowed me to save other presets as well for other places, this would have been 5 stars instead of quick-delete.
