  • Please PLEASE give us Preset Blender presets!!!

    By MahkoMan (Pcmac user)

The Preset Blender is AMAZEBALLS, allowing us to morph between up to four patches via X/Y pad controls, and is a killer feature that needs some love. Takes the the app to a whole new level. But we need to be able to save presets and favorites, please! Not sure about all the Wi-Fi problems others are having- mine works well using the DeepMind12 either as client or server, but when it is a client on my home network I have to note the IP address and manually enter it in the app, then re-sync. If that doesn’t work, I turn my iPad Wi-Fi off and back on and then resync.
  • Wish It Worked

By A Humble Opinion (Pcmac user)

This app is mind blowingly amazing if you can get it to launch and if you can get it to connect. I’ve tried WiFi and USB connections and both only work maybe 10% of the time for no rhyme or reason seemingly. And the app will not launch 90% of the time as well - it launches to the splash screen then disappears into the background. I see it in my multitask view as an app running but it simply will not launch to be the active app I can use. How very frustrating. PLEASE Please, please can Behringer stabilize this app? The potential here is astounding, reality is disheartening. It’s hard to revert back to the onboard program screen after using this app for a brief time.
  • Amazing that this is available. Complete patch editor

    By hambone4728q9 (Pcmac user)

Great gui. Great editor. Awesome patch banking on ipad. Set ur synth to access point and connect ur ipad direct to synth via wifi, or used usb cable. Had no luck in client mode, prob because i was using 5 ghz band. 2.4 prob works but i didnt care to mess with it. Also when connecting, turn off program, connect ipad to synth, start app, go to settings, hit turn on wifi connection for midi, WAIT 10 SECONDS, then hit resync. Never failz
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity Is The Only Bad Part So Far...

    By JohnnyVince (Pcmac user)

I spent a couple of frustrating hours trying to get the app to control the DeepMind12 in Access Point mode (iPad connected directly to the DM12’s Wi-Fi server, instead of my home network). DM12 was running the current 1.1.2 firmware, Wi-Fi v2.7.0 and iOS app v1.0.4. I’m well-versed in both IP and MIDI protocols, and followed step-by-step instructions from Behringer and Sweetwater (which were a little out-of-date, but understandable). Matching device IDs, IP addresses, Network Session, Device IDs, Wi-Fi MIDI turned on, re-sync etc. The DM12 always said it was connected to my iPad, but app always said it was disconnected. Finally, I updated my iOS to 11.3.1, and it suddenly works! I have no idea why. It’s a shame so many people have been having such a hard time getting the Wi-Fi working because, just like the X32/M32 series mixers, this is a great-sounding and deep piece of gear that becomes much quicker and easier to navigate with an iPad. The DM12 is laid out brilliantly for live performance, but the old-fashioned LCD display makes some of the deeper-level programming a little less fun than it should be. The app solves that problem...as long as it’s connected. I haven’t had any issues with it crashing. The app itself is fun to use, and generally self-explanatory. A related side note: at my work, we have a Behringer X32 mixer, which was always losing its connection to the iPad, regardless of distance between the units. We finally bought a dedicated AirPort Express, connected via USB, and it has been rock-solid ever since. So, I’m suspecting it could be an issue with the Wi-Fi cards, but that’s just anecdotal.
