Take Charge Of Your Health With My Health at Vanderbilt (MHAV) on PC:

My Health at Vanderbilt (MHAV) is an app that gives patients access to their medical records, interacts with the health care professionals and pays medical bills through an electronic medium.

MHAV is a very necessary app that prioritizes your comfort and your health above all else. The app’s mobile version has irresistible features, with guaranteed access as you go.

This app is available for patients who go to Vanderbilt University Medical Center(Tennessee, USA) for their medical needs.

Features of MHAV:

Below are six features of the MHAV app;

#1. View your records:

With the MHAV app, you can access your medical records whenever you want. This feature helps you understand and make sense of your medical condition, as you work with health care professionals. This can help you arrest complications from your current condition if any, and it helps you detect new issues and nip them in the bud.

#2. Message your doctor's office:

The MHAV app enables you to reach your doctor at a moment’s notice. In case of an emergency, you can easily get the medical staff on ground to get medical context from your doctor. This helps them decide on the best course of action.

If you need your doctor’s opinion on any medical issue you have, or you need a quick prognosis based on some symptoms you feel, then the MHAV is quite suitable.

#3. Request an appointment:

This feature allows you to request, make and confirm your appointment with a doctor, a laboratory technician or any other healthcare professional. Whether it’s just another appointment in a long list of appointments, or on short notice, the app saves you stress.

Ordinarily, you would have made phone calls or even gone to the hospital ahead of time. However, that is no longer necessary as MHAV has made it easier for you to sort out your appointments from the comfort of your room.

#4. Map your appointment location:

Most hospitals are quite large, covering hectares in land mass.  For a hospital like the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, this is the case.

For a first timer, you need to not just sort out your appointment, but you need to know where you’re going. As much as you would still be served by asking for directions to your place of appointment, there’s an easier way. On the MHAV app, you can use geolocation markers to find out where directly to go for your appointment on hospital grounds. This way, you can save yourself the stress of asking everyone for directions and walk straight to the office where you’re supposed to go.

#5. Manage your profile information

If there are any changes in your life that medical personnel and health care professionals on the  MHAV app should know of, let them know. You can do this by altering the information on your profile to reflect the changes which have been made.

#6. Create a PIN for instant access:

When using any app, you will find that nothing beats easy access to the main portal of the app. MHAV sorts this out spectacularly, providing you with a PIN feature. This feature helps you choose a number combination peculiar to you. With this PIN, you can protect your information on the app from third parties.

  • Allow attachments & provide additional info

    By Blastrx (Pcmac user)

It would be really helpful if patients were able to attach images or documents to messages. It would allow nurses and doctors to see what the patient is dealing with in order to better diagnose what the patient should do. If the ailment is not serious, it would keep the patient from taking an unneeded office from a patient that actually needs to be seen. Also, when viewing lab results, allow users to tap on each score to learn about what the specific category is and why it is important. For example, if a user taps on their “auto neutrophil absolute” score, an info box would come up explaining what that is and what it does for the body.
  • Handy, when it works

    By JoanieJettie (Pcmac user)

Except for the atrocious name, MyHealthAtVanderbilt has great potential. Unfortunately, it will probably always stay at that place…having great potential but not living up to it. An example is the doctors’ reports area. Doctors’ reports are not really doctors’ reports, they are a regurgitation of things like your known illnesses and the meds you’re on. No real doctors’ notes. the app biggest complaint, though, is that the system is always down. Almost every time I really need it, it never fails. It’s down. If they cannot find a more robust system, then they need to just trash the whole idea. I would rather not have it and not depend on it then depend on it and it not be there, which is what is happening now.
  • Ruined the app

    By Pearchunks (Pcmac user)

This was the best app ever. I used to be able to search for labs and graph them. Now it’s a piece of junk. I hate it. They ruined an excellent app. All labs and reports are thrown in a lump in one file and half of them aren’t really in there anyway. Messaging a provider doesn’t work well either now because you can’t reply you have to start a whole new email. No more threads. I want the old app back! I need to be able to graph the app labs and also search for specific labs like I used to be able to do. The old app was outstanding. Best I have ever used. This is garbage. I plan to just dump it. Piece of crap now. It’s absolutely useless. Whoever thought of this should be fired.
  • 5 Star App becomes useless overnight

    By ayoshi (Pcmac user)

This app used to be more than I ever expected in a medical interface portal. It was the first place I went when I needed details from the app past doctor visits or needed to communicate with any of the app doctors. Recently, an error message pops up upon opening saying “you will need a new version of the the app Health app in order to access your account” with a link to the App Store. However the only thing present in the App Store is the same old app that doesn’t open. Thanks for taking a perfect app which store a wealth of information, and making it irrelevant & useless.
