Not very functional

Very disappointed. Was working. Now won’t connect at all. Mitsubishi you have work to do to make this app live up to expectations. The limited and limiting connectivity (you can’t access anything on internet when using) is a huge drawback. Limited distance to connect and often won’t. Update. Now have updated app on one phone. Didn’t think possible but update is WORSE than earlier version. Less functionality. Standing outside in cold to try to prewarm the car (because it won’t connect if more than 10 feet away) and new version would not allow anything but a scheduled start. Never worked. Mitsubishi you MUST do better fast.
Terrible useless APP

So disappointed with this app and the customer service and the entire thing is useless I will let everyone that I can that the outlanders remote control 2 is a big scam it is absolutely useless and should not even be offered as a sales point avoid buy this car and this useless remote app I have sent or tried to send some suggestion to this developer but also useless and waste of time they are not updating or upgrade this crap they should be sued for such a useless and terrible services with assistance’s and not doing anything about improving it or making it any better really disgusted which could give no stars at all
Useless App

I practically have to be next to the car to connect to the WiFi, which has a VERY small range. Then while standing out in the cold I was trying to avoid, I have to take the extra step of logging into my car’s WiFi. Recently, the app has been disconnecting from the WiFi when the app loads. Sadly, it doesn’t really matter anyway, since the app was useless anyway. Why bother Mitsubishi? For the record, my husband has a Volt. Their Onstar is wonderful and works perfectly. My husband is perpetually confused as to why I can’t heat my car up like he can. I’m just angry.
Basic control, barely usable

I’ve had my the app PHEV for a year now, after having a Volt for 3 years with onstar. This PHEV app does some very basic things such as remote heat/cool and parking lights. Remote control relies on a built-in wireless access point in the the app to connect. That WiFi is exceedingly poor in coverage. If you have direct line of sight to the car you might connect from 20 feet away. Otherwise, like myself, you might need to purchase a WiFi extender and plug it in nearest the car to even activate heating in the cold winter from the comfort of your own home. Don’t have high expectations using this remote when in a store or shopping mall parking lot. The controls are very basic. But when they work it is nice to get into a car which has been warmed in the freezing cold winter. Mitsubishi could have done so much better. No supported after market device exists which could improve the connectivity. Some enthusiasts post about implementing make shift solutions using android phones plugged into the USB port and accessing third party remote software. This isn’t Onstar, not by a long shot. The two star rating acknowledges the basic functionality. Very basic.
