If you want to install and use the Pokémon GO app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Pokémon GO in the search bar and press Search. Click on Pokémon GO application icon. A window of Pokémon GO on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

I’ve played Pokémon games over 20 years. Pokémon Go is a great mobile game that combines entertainment and daily health keeping. However, as a Pokémon game, it needs more interactivity between people. Many people are waiting for PVP since the first day when the game has lunched. The current mechanics seems pretty simple (horizontal swipe, no special attack/defense, no Mega Evolution/form change, etc). For example, Deoxys and Giratina have multiple forms base on the original design, but not just catch them separately (without form change function). It looks like they are different Pokémon, but not the one who has ability to change form. Also, some Pokémon colors are weird after Niantic uses Unity 3D as game engine (e.g. Staryu). Also, Niantic should make more choices for the Style function. If people can change their in-game hair, face or add more item will be better. Finally, John Hanke has mention he is trying to bring all Niantic games to the mainland China, but it seems like not very easy. People can understand Chinese market has different policy, but it could corporate with big companies such us Tencent or NetEase to open the market. Hope people in the mainland China can play Pokémon Go as same as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. This valuable IP made by Nintendo and Game Freak should allow everyone can join it before copy cats occupy the market. Thank you.
  • Great Game BUT........

    By canine baker
This is a wonderful game, great to get people out and moving I definitely recommend it for people who live in populated areas and towns BUT if you live in the rural areas and the country sides of this country where service is spotty and where they placed most all the stops and gyms there is NO SERVICE then playing this game is almost worthless. As a player moving from the city to the country it almost leaves me no choice but to quit or almost forget about the game, sad because I’m a paying player. I read how Niantic was working hard at trying to come up with a resolution for RURAL players but every update and addition to the game benefits populated players. Even trying to contact help support and Niantic is a waste of time, all you will get is a return email where someone will just copy and paste the same answers over and over again, if you cared to do something about this critical issue then maybe taking a moment and conversing with the rural players may help. I hate to have to leave this game but Niantic does not seem to care if they lose their rural players and that is so sad as if you maybe took the time to work with rural players the issue could be resolved, I say to the populated players get out and have an awesome time playing this game and don’t complain about adding a couple bucks to the game it is a lot cheaper then a night out to the movies and a lot more fun with the family! Signed The forgotten rural players!
  • Great game but more content plz

    By 5 STAR!!!!!!!!<3
I love the game and its easy to use interface but I and all of my friends at school agree that your amazing game lacks some necissary content to be a truly great game. I belive you should add trading pokemon above all else and along with that casual battles with near by players. Now for my personal favorite addition is that some people have a daily struggle with living in a small town like mine where there is literaly 1 pokestop in all of town and you never go near it so that results in having a very limited supply of poke balls which is by far the most important item in the game because without them you cant catch anything which results in the lack of xp which means you cant level up. You cant get good cp pokemon (much less pokemon at all) which means no gyms or raids. To combat this major issue I propose you and some sort of daily spin or add more pokestops and gyms. Now I doubt you (the devs) will see this much less read it all but if you do I greatly appreciate it. Thank you as I hope this may help bring life back into this once amazing and well played game. P.S. ( I am saying this not only to make this game more fun for me but all of the friends I play this game with are compaining about a few of these issues and I would like to continue playing the game with the game with them as this is the only game I play and I fear they may quit playing if you do not add content. )
  • Rural players matter too!!

    By ivel420
I love this game and play everyday but some recent changes are really hurting rural players. I live in a town of >1500 people and we have a Pokémon base of maybe 50 players around town, many of us having full time jobs, kids, or school or any combination of the 3. Sometimes it gets really difficult to get a enough players together for raids especially legendary raids that require a group of 7-8 or more because most of the players in rural areas like this aren’t much higher level than 25.. even some of the most active players are still only 30-33. Now you’ve changed the raid timers down to 45 there will be even less raids happening in my area. Most of the raids we were able to complete have been in the last 10-15 minutes of the 1 hour raids. Also the raid boss switch is pretty lame in my opinion the level 4s aren’t even worth while anymore at least before every once in a while you could get a snorlax or t-tar. Now the best thing is golem and what avid players don’t already have an army of them from fighting the legendary birds? Sableye and porygon are the only decent changes but now there is nothing with the strength of alakazam or machamp that is worth while for tier 3 and lower. Your changes have been for the worse and you are just making your fan base angrier with these useless changes when you should be focused on giving us thing we all want like trading, pvp, mew, and the rest of gen 2!!

  • Really??!

    By Doughertyb
For as long as this game has been out and it still has issues!!? I have recently redownloaded and started playing Pokémon Go again after a year or so off. I originally had the game on launch day and was sucked into the hype. But after time had passed I grew frustrated with the functionality and reliability of the game. So after a year away I’m back and ready to catch em all. Except for how hard it is to keep poke balls due to the game laying out and failing to collect on poke stops. Or how I click on a Pokémon to attempt to catch it only to get an error message. Or even better yet is when the game will straight up not load near by stops/gyms or how it still MURDERS your battery life. I cannot believe how terrible of a job Niantic has done fixing these issues. TLDR Software engineers at Niantic should loose their jobs.

  • Pokémon go Reality

    By CR2016NYC
I have had the game since it started. One of the added perks to the game was AR+ feature and after the last update it went downhill from there. Not able to use the feature at all. I contact support and no resolution at all. Regardless of updating the app and all that. Very disappointing but otherwise the game is awesome

  • Absolutely love this game

    By lilwickedwitch2000
I love this game but I’m kinda ticked that the first time I get an ultra raid pass and I’m walking the stage for my graduation so I’m miss out again
  • Addictive, but needs more content

    By Nominaw
This game is fun but I really think it’s missing a lot of content. First, the regions: Kalos is one region that’s missing and it’s my favorite. Unova is another one. So is Alola. Second, the styles: I think flip flops would be a good fit, more necklaces such as a hoopa necklace. That’s all I want in this game right now till sword & shield.
  • Rural area?, have fun staying lvl 1-15

    By JensaiZujoYT
I love the Pokémon franchise and I decided to give this game a try since I was staying in a large city for a while. The second I get back to my small town it’s impossible to do raids since their is like 1-2 players that I don’t even know and their is no point in playing if you can’t do fun raids. Pokèstops are rare and gyms are nonexistent. Ran out of poke balls. Have fun playing if you live in something like Chicago/New York and don’t take the game for granted because the forgotten rural players can’t even play. Other than that the game is awesome and I recommend playing it if you live in a populated area.
  • Can’t sign in

  • Fix the aspect ratio on iPhone X’s!

    By Keetchino
I just moved from an iPhone 7, where I had no problem catching Pokémon, to an iPhone XS. Apparently the game is not formatted correctly for the iPhone X’s and is simply “zoomed in”, but this makes it impossible to catch certain pokemon (Ryhorn, Lapras, Palkia, Ghastly etc). Balls constantly fall too short no matter how they’re thrown, and if it’s a flying Pokémon and flies up high forget about getting even remotely close! It’s made raiding quite miserable, and I’ll be taking a break until the issue gets corrected.
  • I don’t know how
