If you want to install and use the Pokémon GO app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Pokémon GO for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Pokémon GO for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Pokémon GO in the search bar and press Search. Click on Pokémon GO application icon. A window of Pokémon GO on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Pokémon GO icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Pokémon GO for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Pokémon GO for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download Andriod, Iphone

Pokémon GO Software Features and Description

Pokémon GO has now introduced social and trading features that allow Trainers to connect with each other by adding friends, sending Gifts, and participating in a new Friendship level system that unlocks bonuses. Trainers can now trade Pokémon with other Trainers nearby, earning a Candy Bonus for the Pokémon received. Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. Pokémon GO is the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 800 million times and named "Best Mobile Game" by The Game Developers Choice Awards and "Best App of the Year" by TechCrunch. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Compete in epic Gym battles You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. Team up to defeat powerful Raid Bosses A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! I’ve been playing since July of 2016, right after launch. I had never played the card game but was intrigued by the way the game seemed to be getting people of all ages excited. I play pretty much every day and, while it isn’t perfect, I have appreciated every update and enjoy the continuing expansion of the Pokeverse. The best thing about this game is the way it can appeal to all ages. I play with a group that includes children and retirees, men and women, gay and straight, cancer survivors, transplant recipients and a few with Autism. I love how the game gets people off their couch and out visiting different locations, and meeting new people. The Community Day events have been particularly spectacular for this. The game does have some flaws, especially if you live in rural areas where your options for play may be limited, but I think Niantic has done a good job of offering special events that help balance the game and give a boost periodically to those folks, and the addition of trading has given players a way to connect, somewhat, with players globally. It is not yet perfected, but a huge step forward. If you want a game that you can play alone, with family, or with friends, one that will help you meet new people and give you a way to make exercise fun, rather than boring, this is definitely one to try. If you played in the beginning but got bored, come back and give it a second look. Many things have changed and and you will enjoy the improvements.

I am loving all of the events and things we have to look forward to. Community days were a great idea. Friends and trading were wonderful updates that added a lot to the game, though I wish that there was an option to toggle off the exact location and map directions in the gift you send people. Even better if you could turn on/off per friend level or even individual friends as well as an all on/off. Also, if you could create a kind of lure for gyms where raids are happening, and nearby players could see that and head over because they know people are there to raid. Lure could last 5-10min so people can wait for it to run out (and if they don’t want to wait, they don’t use the lure). And nearby players can view the raid and leave like a thumbs up or thumbs down so others know someone is on their way. The GO community has really come together and made raid planning possible in a lot of places, but this would be more inclusive to those that haven’t joined their local community or that live rurally and have a hard time getting enough people. These are just suggestions for improvements to an already amazing game that I am pretty happy with, Pokémon GO has come a long way since those first several months of release where I always seemed to be annoyed at Niantic. So, well done :)
  • Great game but more content plz

I love the game and its easy to use interface but I and all of my friends at school agree that your amazing game lacks some necissary content to be a truly great game. I belive you should add trading pokemon above all else and along with that casual battles with near by players. Now for my personal favorite addition is that some people have a daily struggle with living in a small town like mine where there is literaly 1 pokestop in all of town and you never go near it so that results in having a very limited supply of poke balls which is by far the most important item in the game because without them you cant catch anything which results in the lack of xp which means you cant level up. You cant get good cp pokemon (much less pokemon at all) which means no gyms or raids. To combat this major issue I propose you and some sort of daily spin or add more pokestops and gyms. Now I doubt you (the devs) will see this much less read it all but if you do I greatly appreciate it. Thank you as I hope this may help bring life back into this once amazing and well played game. P.S. ( I am saying this not only to make this game more fun for me but all of the friends I play this game with are compaining about a few of these issues and I would like to continue playing the game with the game with them as this is the only game I play and I fear they may quit playing if you do not add content. )
  • Great Game BUT........

This is a wonderful game, great to get people out and moving I definitely recommend it for people who live in populated areas and towns BUT if you live in the rural areas and the country sides of this country where service is spotty and where they placed most all the stops and gyms there is NO SERVICE then playing this game is almost worthless. As a player moving from the city to the country it almost leaves me no choice but to quit or almost forget about the game, sad because I’m a paying player. I read how Niantic was working hard at trying to come up with a resolution for RURAL players but every update and addition to the game benefits populated players. Even trying to contact help support and Niantic is a waste of time, all you will get is a return email where someone will just copy and paste the same answers over and over again, if you cared to do something about this critical issue then maybe taking a moment and conversing with the rural players may help. I hate to have to leave this game but Niantic does not seem to care if they lose their rural players and that is so sad as if you maybe took the time to work with rural players the issue could be resolved, I say to the populated players get out and have an awesome time playing this game and don’t complain about adding a couple bucks to the game it is a lot cheaper then a night out to the movies and a lot more fun with the family! Signed The forgotten rural players!

I’ve been playing this game since it’s launch and it’s became a huge part of my life. But now I’m highly upset because I have not been able to log on in over a month. I’ve tried deleting and re downloading and it’s the same issue. I’m missing out on multiple community events because of this crash.. This needs fixed!!

For someone with sensory issues I can no longer play this game because the AR makes me sick, not to mention people with limited mobility issues can no longer play. Way to be inclusive (sarcasm).

What’s the point of the “I’m a passenger button” if you still can’t play? Don’t waste my time making me press the button and for it not to even matter. Also fix the GPS tracking!
  • Buddy System Growth

Hi, my name is Nathan and I have an idea! When we walk around in Pokémon go we don’t see our buddy on our shoulder or in the air. We could make catching Pokémon better and easier with Pokémon help! When we walk around the Pokémon would follow us and when we are catching Pokémon our Pokémon could give us a special boost or something like that. I think this would make the game better and attract more players!
  • Pokemon storage Upgrade Needed

    By TheBealler
Max storage for pokemon is needed!!!!!!!' Also saved all type : I know a lot of people complained about this feature and it's possible that it wasn't even actually a feature in that it was maybe a glitch. We never really heard either way from Niantic. But I actually enjoyed that feature and I'm sure a lot of other people did to probably everyone that enjoyed it are the ones you didn't hear from me because they did not complain. But for all the people that did complain about it I think it would be a good idea to have in the settings a button you can check on and off. It would be an especially handy feature during the community days. Also need more raids; it seems like every time I want to go do some 3-4 star raids they're all dried up. Also I should note I finally got a perfect legendary!! Woop thanks Niantic Would be nice if we could give items to other players who need them.
