The Piano Partner 2 app is designed to help users learn and enjoy music with their Roland digital piano. Software Features and Description

1. The Piano Partner 2 app collects information when it is used, including the device type and how the app is used (the functions used, date and time of use, etc.). We will never use this data for the purpose of collecting any personal information or identifying a specific person.

2. To use Piano Partner 2, connect your device and a compatible Roland piano wirelessly via Bluetooth®, or wired with a USB cable.

3. - When using Piano Partner 2 with a compatible piano for the first time, an Internet connection for the tablet is required.

4. The Piano Partner 2 app provides a friendly, interactive way to help you learn and enjoy music with your Roland digital piano.

5. - When connecting an iPad or iPhone to the piano via a USB cable, a USB cable and Apple’s iPad Camera connection Kit or Lightning-USB Camera Adapter are required.

6. Piano Partner 2 also enables your iPad/iPhone to work as a remote controller for your Roland piano, offering an intuitive graphic interface for even easier operation.

7. Songs and DigiScore Lite show the piano’s internal music collection on your device’s display, while Rhythm and Flash Card allow you to build skills with intelligent accompaniment and engaging music exercises.

8. When you download and use the Piano Partner 2 app, it is accepted that you agree with the above policies.

Excellent Interface for Roland Digital Pianos

As a music instructor, this app is an incredible tool for engaging anyone comfortable with using a tablet at the the app. As for the negative reviews saying the app won't connect, I've had no trouble whatsoever. You must connect through the app to utilize Bluetooth midi, and when you want to use Bluetooth audio as in playing music through the the app's speaker, connect like you are using a Bluetooth speaker- which is typically through your 's settings. This is must have app and companion to the high end Roland digital pianos.

Please have your developers continue to update this app!! I recently purchased the FP-10... and this app is the PERFECT compliment to my purchase!! I, unfortunately, just couldn’t afford the higher model FPs right now... and this app truly expands the capabilities of the 10. I’m a novice and my son is beginning to show interest in the the app. I choose the Roland brand because of the feel and TECHNOLOGY. I refused to go yamaha or casio because of these things... EVEN THOUGH they were competitively priced. Let’s keep our “this app” relationship going strong! 🤝💪 Okay❣️👏
For those who can’t connect

I was unable to connect my keyboard to the app, until I found the bluetooth directions that came with it which specified that if you change the bluetooth midi function (which I likely did by mistake) or perform a factory reset, that you must forget the device in your phone settings (not just the app), and turn bluetooth off and back on. This worked for me, so I hope it helps someone else. The app is great when it works.
Solution for not pairing

For all of the people here having a hard time pairing this app with their the app, have you tried updating your the app firmware? You can download the updated firmware from Roland's website and update the the app using a USB stick. Moreover, you can check the current firmware of your the app as well (there is a certain key combination) to press while powering your keyboard on. Hope this helps!
