What is LED Powermeter?
The app is designed to help users determine their live power consumption on either an older rotating metal disc meter or a newer LED-light meter. By registering the rotations or frequency of blinking, users can determine their live power consumption and discover what the big energy consumers are at their home. The app also works offline, and no active internet connection is needed.
1. Older meters use a rotating metal disc to show live power consumption.
2. So by registering the rotations or frequency of blinking you can determine your live power consumption.
3. If you turn on a device during a measurement and turn it off again a few moments later, you will see the consumption of that specific device as a peak visible in the chart.
4. With this app you can determine your live power consumption on either meter.
5. What’s the point? It is particularly interesting to determine what your night- or standby power consumption is.
6. On for example a disc meter, 300 rotations are equal to 1 kWh.
7. In most LED meters 1000 flashes is equal to the consumption of 1 kWh.
8. In this menu you can choose your meter type, LED- or Disc meter.
9. The rotations and flashes reflect the power consumed at the time.
10. The number shown is the current consumption in Watt, 1000 Watt is 1kW.
11. The square black box at the top left of the display shows the camera image of your device.

- Measuring screen: The app has a measuring screen that shows the camera image of the device. Users can aim the camera on the LED light or rotating disc and use the cross-hairs in the middle of the screen to determine the optimal distance to the electricity meter.
- Measurement value: The app displays the current consumption in Watt, and the maximum value displayed is 9999 Watts.
- Settings: Users can choose their meter type, LED- or Disc meter, and select the value that represents the amount of rotations or LED-blinks for kWh. They can also customize the color of the LED and set the sensitivity of the camera.
- Start/Stop: Users can start and stop a measurement with this button. By stopping the measurement, the chart remains fixed, and users can make a screenshot.
- Chart: The app displays a graph that shows the most recently measured values. Users can see the consumption of a specific device as a peak visible in the chart.
- Sound: Users can turn the sound signal on or off with the button at the bottom right of the screen.
