  • Used to be great, updates ruined it I’m leaving.

    By originalbloodyturd (Pcmac user)

This used to me my favorite the app player aside from the tremendous difficulty searching for podcasts I know exist. They’ve recently changed so many things which ruin this app for my needs. One very annoying thing is when I push play the player decides to either play the show with no audio, immediately pause the show so I have to unpause repause and unpause rapidly until the player settles itself and then I can play it(this includes with use of earbuds which compounds the confusion and makes it very inconvenient). Also if you want to re-listen to a show or save a show they’ve made it so that any show you listen to disappears from view even though your device still holds the entire download you have to click “show all” and then you have to search through a show’s entire body of work in order to access a show you’ve already listened to(If you want to listen to it again). This and the fact that the controls are not locked in one predictable position, it goes to landscape view when turned, just in case it was too convenient having the same controls in exactly the same place every time. I’m finding a new the app player. Also also, it’s impossible to communicate with the author if you don’t set up your email with your device which I do not because why make it easy for big data.
  • THE most customizable podcast player

    By switcha (Pcmac user)

If you listen to a lot of shows, this is your player. Period. None of the social duff and show promo previews the native app is cluttering every screen with now. Just your shows and their episodes with full control over every aspect of each. From serialized shows you want to plow through starting at episode 1, to daily news where you will never dig back through archives, to shows you've just discovered with 200 back episodes you want to selectively pick through, this app lets you tweak ALL the settings for each show to keep your playlist fresh and filled with your must-listens. Auto-queue places your must-listens in the queue automatically and you even get to dictate where in the queue they get added. Manual reordering of not only each category, but of the shows you place in the categories is a godsend. Easy to add single episodes from shows you don't want to subscribe to. Super efficient listening with playback speeds, silence skipping, customizable forward and backward skip amounts, and customizable show start and finish skips. Digging through the settings might seem daunting, but honestly every item is a delight as you discover the ability to do things you didn't even know you wanted to do. And the default settings would work great anyway. Happily upgraded not to gain features or remove ads, but because this amount of attention to detail deserves support.
  • Well worth paying for the full version

    By dantkendall (Pcmac user)

I was just looking for a new the app app that would let me skip back and forward a few seconds over a Bluetooth connection (which the Apple app strangely doesn't allow). I chose this app since it had a free version and I ended up getting so much more! I love all the customization options for each the app and the fact that I can finally select all episodes when editing (another feature missing from the Apple app). So happy with it after a few days that I had to purchase to support the devs. One request I'd make is a filter for listened episodes so I can select them all and archive them. Thanks for the great app!
  • Update ruined app!

    By LCLMomma1392 (Pcmac user)

This was my fav app I used daily for years, never a issue, always reliable, its glitchy, I hate how it doesnt automaticly show all shows without asking it to, and the worst is how it automatically removes played ones from my playlist with no option of keeping them there like before. I re-listen to them and I like my playlost in certain order and now i have to hunt for specific one to re que it and its sooooooo frusterating. I wish they just left it be it was fine for years. Please fix and give back reg interface and options as before. Update: the sleep timer crash got fixed but everything else is same if not worse. Please put iit back to how it was before these updates I hate them. Nothing works right, and now the end play at certain time doesnt work and i used that all the time to. The play que is so messed up and glitchy. Im so dissapointed this was most reliable app for years and now its getting worse each update.
