Does it work?
By DaReversedFlash (Pcmac user)
It does! I haven’t seen many of the other issues that other reviews have complained about. However, you’re not here to read a bunch of bs so let’s get down to it!
Why did I give this 4 stars?
The positives:
•The app recognizes most devices pretty well. I use old 32 inch TVs as monitors and the buttons are in the worst places. I lost the remotes long ago, but with this app you press a couple buttons and it connects it right to it with most buttons pre-programmed. If it doesn’t then you can just get a universal remote and connect it to the tv and program the buttons in using that.
•You can use it to control more than one device at once. Using “scenes” you can group devices together and even delay the time between each function being performed (Not sure why anyone would delay it unless they’re trying to do some sort of dramatic reveal)
•It works with Alexa. If you have an Alexa enabled device you can easily teach it the broadlink skill and have her control your stuff just by using your voice.
The negatives:
•Pairing the actual hub might be a pain sometimes. I have the RM Mini3 and it was listed under “remotes” which some people might not think to look under and scanning the barcode as it suggested did not work for my Mini3. It would’ve saved me a little bit of a headache if they would just list their own products on the front page of where you go to add the device (aka “Frequently used”)
Honestly I would give it 4.5 stars but that wasn’t an option.

Does work, needs polishing
By b.o.b.1kenobi (Pcmac user)
I was surprised to see so many negative reviews! The only thing I’ve had this app struggle with is learning RF devices. It often takes quite a few tries and can be kind of frustrating, but that may be more to do with the RM hardware.
They could definitely use some polishing, though. Why no Alexa support except TVs (though you can just treat nearly anything as a TV...though RF things are tough to get working)? Why no IFTTT (unless you have their multi sensor) or Stringify support? That would make this app incredibly powerful. I’d also like to be able to customize some things. For example, when you click a device, you get a quick pop up menu...I want to be able to swap out the channel changer for volume. Etc.
Customer support has been okay. Not great, but they’ve always replied and tried to help, despite the language barrier. Again, fairly confused by some of these other reviews.

It’s fine but need many improvements
By al3loo (Pcmac user)
The app is just fine, it does the job but still missing many good features which can make it more useable .. first instead of that Chinese voice command, please do some improvements with Siri.. we need to add shortcuts to Siri for better usability. Also, I hope we can reprogram/re-learn the auto added AC remotes buttons, actually the whole way of adding remote buttons can be reinvented in a very nice way, like if we can rearrange the buttons as a grid or choosing from some layouts would be a phenomenal improvement .. I really like the way of adding multiple devices and appliances but it’s little hard to navigate between them and choosing the right remote every time, it needs to be a quick way to make the best of the utility we have as it should be used, maybe as a widget in Notification Center would help. Thanks and hope you hear me!

Good, but could be better
By zelphior (Pcmac user)
App works quite well, easy to set up and use, large library of built-in codes and easy to add custom buttons. Only problem is you can’t change the layouts of buttons for the remotes, and the default layout for most devices is pretty bad. For example, for my receiver/amplifier, there’s only 8 buttons visible, taking up the bottom quarter of the screen. The rest is blank (or can show an icon or photo of the device). You have to click the “more” button to bring up more buttons. For some devices it would be nice to at least re-order the buttons. For 1 device i only get a volume up button on the main remote screen and have to hit “more” to get to volume down. Would be a solid 5 stars if the layout of the remotes could be customizable.
