Install RØDE Reporter app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using RØDE Reporter on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "RØDE Reporter"
- The search will reveal the RØDE Reporter app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once RØDE Reporter is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including RØDE Reporter.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use RØDE Reporter,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "RØDE Reporter" » then Click "Install".
- RØDE Reporter will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

I like a lot but

I like the app a lot, from the clean user interface, ease-of-use, forward thinking and intuitive design, it really is a great app. The issue is with just about every action such as deleting a file as it playing, or trying to record a new file when you forgot to pause/stop the file that was playing, the app just crashes. Really waiting for a fix, as I’d like to use this app with my Rode microphone. That I paid for.

Glitch makes it less than desirable

Testing this seemed to work well because it responds quick and works with my Rode XYi microphone. But later upon trying to rename the file, I got consistent crashes and if you rename it erases the whole name you already had so that you can’t just add onto it if you want. This makes it less than desirable for me. I say either fix this or I’ll have to look for a different app.

Playback UX Needs Better Design

In the library, the “play” button is RIGHT atop the “trash can” button and there is very little room for error especially on an iPhone (even with the larger screen). Every time I try to hit play I need to hold my breath. Did a designer lay that out or was it an engineer? Please go back to the UX drawing board on that decision.

Nice Clean Interface

I like this app because it does the basics with a nice clean interface. I wish it had iTunes file sharing support. Instead of having to do AirDrop. Just so I could pull all the audio files easily. At the same time I'm pulling other apps videos, etc. That would make it more or less perfect for my use. I use it to record voiceovers for videos.
