  • Works great, confusing one-time setup

    By JIanMcGowan (Pcmac user)

This app does exactly what I needed it to do - dealing with customers in many different time zones, I was constantly searching for “What time is it in X now?”, which starts to get old. This app puts a convenient banner in your menu bar with a country flag and the time there right now. So you can see at a glance if you’ll be waking someone up, or if you can catch them before the end of the day. The only thing preventing this rating being 5-stars is a somewhat confusing setup process. All the time zones in the world are listed, and I’m sure it’s some standard list, but the presentation and names used are quite difficult to parse. It’s easier if you search for “What’s the UTC offset for IST?” and then find an entry with that same UTC/GMT offset - they are listed in order of UTC offset. Another issue for people with small screens - this will take up some space in your menu bar (duh!), so if you are already cramped up there, you may want a different app. For my use (with an external wide-screen monitor) it’s perfect.
  • Exactly What I Needed

    By cyberdog478 (Pcmac user)

Traveling and having customers in various time zones makes constnatly opening a world clock or switching time zones not practical and sometimes not possible (VPNs can change autodetect mechanisms for setting the clock). For this reason, and because my habit is to glance at the task bar for the time, this app is key and I don’t live without. The country flags make it quicker to find the timezone I’m looking for and provide better visual separation than a text based representation; however, I wish the flags were automatic. The app also often rearranges the order of time zones, though I have not seen this lately so perhaps this has been fixed. The app opens automatically and works great! Thank you for continuing to support this app!
  • Easy set up - handy reference

    By Heike_Childs (Pcmac user)

After loading the software it immediatelly offered a window for set up. The first item to choose was the flag symbol, and just to the right of it, the second item was for which location I wanted this flag to apply. It has an “add" button which allows however many time settings you need accross your menue bar. Alternatively, once you’re set up, just click on the flag item in the menue bar and pull down to preferences and you may delete any one or all of the excessive information you might have put in. It’s a pretty handy little gizmo and I like it.
  • Simple but EXTREMELLY Needed

    By wildernessfamily78 (Pcmac user)

I travel often through out the United States. Trying to keep track of time zones is a headace. Being able to look at the status bar and see the time makes it super simple. I used other apps where you have to click on an icon to see the this app. That’s a pain. When I’m on the phone and need a quick glance to setup a meeting or know if it’t to late/early to call family, this make it perfect. Only one BIG suggestion. Please add United States State Flags. That way I can tell when time zone I’m looking at. Thank you!!!
