Install Spectra Bulb app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Spectra Bulb on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Spectra Bulb"
- The search will reveal the Spectra Bulb app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Spectra Bulb is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Spectra Bulb.
- Now enjoy Spectra Bulb on PC.

!!!!!DOES NOT WORK!!!!!

Picked up 3 of these. Have had them for months now and I have never been able to get one to work for more than a few minutes - and then only after untold attempts trying to connect. Very frustrating and apparently NO effort by the developer to fix. In fact, I'm not sure there is any intent to correct this or that the developer cares as it seems there was not much effort given to make/translate this app to the English speaking market - the language on the connect screen is barely discernible as English. "Buyer beware" should be on the packing for the bulb- but since the bulb packaging is done so much better, then, like me, most won't know until it is too late. I now have 3 useless (expensive) bulbs; yes "useless" because the bulbs themselves will beep loudly periodically as if they are awaiting Bluetooth pairing!!!

Love this bulb!

I got one of these light bulbs about a year or so ago, and lemme tell you it’s great! I use it all the time and it still works flawlessly. I love the changing colors features and the option to turn the light off while it still being able to be active like play music and stuff. It’s very useful for me, making videos in different colors, which will stay even after I disconnect. Love this light. My only request at least would be to modernize the app a bit. It works just fine but modernizing it’s style would be nice. :)

FRUSTRATING & UNRELIABLE

NOT a user friendly app. I have 3 bulbs. Using my own Bluetooth settings, I can usually easily connect for music. HOWEVER, changing the lamp color?! Forget it. More than half the time this app can't find at least one of my bulbs (even after I disconnect it from my Bluetooth settings), and I *always* see WAY more options to connect to items titled in Chinese than I do my own bulbs. (With great regret, I don't understand Chinese yet.)
I renamed my third bulb, and I can honestly say I've NEVER seen it listed as such. I didn't use special characters or anything fancy, but I've since learned that the blank titled option is the 3rd bulb, though I RARELY see it. Doesn't matter if I'm 5 feet from it or 5 inches. It's rarely available.
I'm not one to ever write reviews, especially even bad ones, but I'm hoping these glitches get fixed. I love the bulbs themselves, **when they work as expected through the app**.
My iOS is always up to date, I try to make everything as simple as possible, and I'm a very clever problem solver. This app just simply isn't user friendly at this time. (Nov 2016)

Fun novelty

Got this bulb as a Christmas present. The first one I had, the green didn't work. After I got a new one, I couldn't get the music to work. After I connected the Bluetooth through my iPhone settings, I was able to get sound to play. The speaker seems to be as good as I expected. (Decent)
The controls seem to need some more work. No music song search, or play lists. Would like to see some color save options.
The app it self seems to crash now and then or just freeze. I also seem to get two connect options when connecting to the light. One in English, and one in Chinese.
