Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Strongbox on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Strongbox"
The search will reveal the Strongbox - Authenticator app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Strongbox is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Strongbox.
Now enjoy Strongbox on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Strongbox,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Strongbox" » then Click "Install".
- Strongbox - Authenticator will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Nice alternative to Google

I like that the app does not collect my info on one of their servers somewhere. It added all the accounts I wanted easily. I like the ability to require a passcode/Touch & face ID to unlock the app. Would like to see more visual options and different layouts as I have more than 4 2FA accounts and beyond that the codes don’t appear unless you scroll. Functionally great, visually very bare bones like Google Authenticator. Some colors would be nice, take advantage of OLED screens. Also, a backup option in the case a phone is migrated to a new one would make things easier.
Much better than Google’s!

Very simple and well made authenticator app, much better than google authenticator. This one has Touch ID, and even migrated my codes when I got my new iPhone!
Just works, it’s easy.
