1. Safecast was formed in response, and quickly began monitoring, collecting, and openly sharing information on environmental radiation and other pollutants, growing quickly in size, scope, and geographical reach.

2. After the devastating earthquake and tsunami which struck eastern Japan on March 11, 2011, and the subsequent meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, accurate and trustworthy radiation information was publicly unavailable.

3. Our mission is to provide citizens worldwide with the tools they need to inform themselves by gathering and sharing accurate environmental data in an open and participatory fashion.

4. - Connect with your bGeigieNano (as long as you have the Bluetooth LE module installed) record data and upload them to Safecast directly.

5. Safecast is an international, volunteer-centered organization devoted to open citizen science for the environment.

6. Safecast Drive is compatible with the bGeigieNano geiger counter equipped with BLEBee modules.

Install Safecast Drive app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Safecast Drive on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Safecast Drive"
The search will reveal the Safecast Drive app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Safecast Drive is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Safecast Drive.
Now enjoy Safecast Drive on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Safecast Drive Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Safecast Drive,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Safecast Drive" » then Click "Install".
- Safecast Drive will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
