First time trying

I have tried a bunch of other apps for the same purpose and they always failed but this have great potential,so many information bundle into one app so you don’t have to keep downloading many apps to get your missions ready, this gives you airport information and if you want to have a mission around will provide the information you need to make sure your information is available for you to contact the tower and get the permission, the app will keep you real time information about whether conditions and safety suggestions, I can keep going on and on about how complete the app is and how good it is to make you understand what the rules are and what you can and can’t do under certain circumstances, keep up the great work guys!

Authorization denied

Use the app for the first time on Tuesday. I noticed that I was right on the edge of class C airspace. I thought as a precaution I should file for approval. Using the app was easy and I was able to figure out how to map my flight area. After I sent the request I received in big Red Letters Authorization Denied! I thought well it must be because I still have my temp 107. So I told the customer we would have to wait for the demo. After I got home I noticed in very small letters. Not in controlled airspace. Seriously? You cant just say Authorization Not Required? Instead in be red letters it says Authorization Denied.. You should consider modify the program to give a different less confusing notification when we are outside of controlled airspace. Thanks , still giving you 4 stars. will change it to a 5 stars when you fix the confusing message

First Authorized Flight

I am new to the world of drone flight, and learning all the ins & outs, the rules and regulations required. I live in Las Vegas and it is very hard to find airspace to fly in that does not have some type of restriction. Before I put power to the drone I did a fair amount of research into what is expected as a new pilot. Kittyhawk was highly recommend, even if you are not 107 qualified. One of the UTune segments showed step by step how the request works. Well today I used it for the first time and it worked flawlessly. I was able to fly not to far from home, and enjoyed the experience without worry of violating airspace. Thanks from a 63 year old rookie.

This is a great resource for the operation and record keeping for operating your UAV! Great and intuitive interface, ability to call airspace controlling facilities in app, and accurate weather & flight restriction info!

Since my last review the team at Kittyhawk continue to amaze! The latest updates to the app make the need for multiple apps for UAS operation obsolete! The recent additions of Flight Deck to provide in app control of your UAS continues to provide a seamless, intuitive, and easy to navigate app! And now the addition of VFR navigation charts makes this the only app you need for your UAS operations! As both a private pilot and a part 107 sUAS pilot, all the information you need to make the best preflight decisions every time you fly are here in KittyHawk!
