  • Main app is great. Watch app almost pointless

    By Aronnyc (Pcmac user)

I’ll start with the Watch app first. While the Watch app itself is great, mostly reflecting the phone version, it’s pointless if nearly every time I use it, the app asks me to launch the app on the phone. It is launched on the phone (as in, it’s not inactive), but the Watch app seems to want me to have the phone app version at the same time. What’s the point, then? If I could use the phone app, I would. The only reason I would want to use the Watch app is because the phone is not nearby or I don’t want to interrupt a video. I love the main app. It really makes the this app headphones stand above from all the other headphones out there with its different controls and noise cancellation options. It’s mostly easy to use, although it’d be nice if there was some kind of built in tutorial that walks the user through the basics.
  • Forces you to make an account - BOOO!!!

    By OctoberSurprise (Pcmac user)

When I first got this app, I could create as many sound profiles as I wanted and have them stored on my device, and it was great, and fun. I could totally change the sound coming from my headphones based on the type of music I was listening to. Now, you are not allowed to create any personalized sound profiles AT ALL unless you create an account. They claim this is because they store all profiles on their server - so forget about adding new sound profiles to your app unless you have an account and internet connection. It’s unnecessary and I used to be able to store them all on my device. I have no interest in adding another account to my already bloated login list, no interest in memorizing another password, no interest in sharing my sound profiles with the community, and now very little interest in this app. The requirement to create an account to add profiles ruined this app for me.
  • iPhone app is okay, but Apple Watch version is unusable

    By Vic239 (Pcmac user)

I just purchased my Zik headphones 4 weeks ago and love them so far. The iPhone app is decent, though it does have its glitches from time to time. The Apple Watch version is completely useless though. It keeps saying that I need to have the iPhone app open in order to use it. This seems to defeat the point of the Apple Watch version entirely. I’d rather change settings on the Watch app rather than have to get my iPhone out of my pocket every time I’d like to tweak my headphone settings.
  • This app is out of date

    By Kenneth.Michael (Pcmac user)

When I first received my headphones the app worked great. But now that I’ve updated my phone it no longer works and says “No device found”. I payed a lot of money for these and would appreciate the app stays up to date so I can use my headphones to their full potential. The last update was 2 years ago. I’ve tried everything from taking the battery out of my headphones disconnecting and reconnecting from the Bluetooth. The only problem I can deduce from this is the app is out of date.
