(cr)App - Shockingly Bad - don’t use!

Today I responded to a bonus ad offering 5 dollars if you play the lottery online - I made a deposit (entering WAY more personal information that necessary, every form entry field failed, jumped around, got covered up by something else, timed out, took multiple tries to get right, etc. I ignored these red flags like an idiot because I saw some things that said it was the official state lottery and the add for the app was on public transportation - I sincerely don’t know how any state official of anything would approve this app!), only to find that you can’t buy any tickets for mega millions or powerball, and the only thing you can use the money for is junky games that make no sense, and now I have to set up a dummy bank account to get the money back because I would never trust this thing to have access to my checking! The chat Support features also timed out instantly and crashed my session. That’s when I got mad and decided to write this review. It bothers me to think of poor and elderly people hoping to win some money having to go through the major frustrations of trying to get this app to work. You have plenty of money, the app lottery - hire a real app designer and sort this out!
Horrible App & Customer Service!!!

I made a small deposit to try out the new games. When I went to go confirm everything, it gives me an error message. Then, I see the charge appear on my credit card. I had to reach out to support twice. The first time I told Liz L. about the situation and she had to reach out to the payments department. Wait for a few minutes then as she was responding to me, it mysteriously logged me completely out and kicked me out of the chat. I then had to send them another message and retell them the story to Alexis D. She told me that I would need to call them after 9am to fix it. I was livid. You stole my money and are not even going to put a support ticket in? I’m a Director of Customer Service and I cannot believe this horrible app and customer service. Neither seemed to really care. And I did not try to deposit anything else as the same error might occur. I wanted to have a quick fun gambling session but it was completely ruined by your technical issues and unhelpful Live Chat agents. I’ll stop using iLottery and will delete the app once I get my money back.
App now crashes upon start 100% of the time-- UPDATE

UPDATE: I followed the suggestion of another reviewer to delete, download and reinstall the app -- it now works, at least the two functions that I use. Why Scientific Games (the subcontractor who developed and maintains this app for the the app Lottery Dept) updated the App Store version, but haven't released it to all current users is very poor! ----------------- Original comment: This app used to work fine for me-- used it for a couple of years now, mostly to scan-check a set of tickets, or to do scan entries of a pile of tickets into the Second Chance Drawings. Now it immediately crashes upon loading the app-- green and white splash screen displays for not even a second, then app closes. I'm stuck on iOS 8.x (the last version Apple has released for older iPad 2s). At first thought that might be the issue, but I see from other reviews that many other people with newer iOS devices are having the same problem. DEVELOPERS (Scientific Games, not the the app State)-- GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER-- NEED TO DO MUCH BETTER TESTING BEFORE RELEASING UPDATES !!

App works great, use it all the time and never had a problem. Before you cry it’s a crap app maybe you should check your crapy devices. For all the one star reviews about hackers and personal information Developers could care less about getting your personal information for hacking you, Pretty soon all apps are going to want some personal information to protect themselves from being hacked because as far as they know you’re a hacker so if you don’t like it don’t download the app, get use to it, it’s called the future. No one will never be safe from being hacked. If you don’t have a cheap device Or crapy connection i would recommend this app, works great. Just got done using it before I wrote this review, still working 👍🏻 great.
