Great Concept but Poor Functionality

I have an IPhone Max and this app does not allow FaceID to login. Every time you go into the app you have to login, it does not keep you logged in. Sometimes the app just doesn’t work at all, I will open it and all I see is a blank screen and sometimes the winning numbers aren’t shown. Very slow and sluggish once you are able to sign in. I find it very frustrating that I easy pick my numbers then if I get an error message when the app is searching for the Bluetooth signal, I loose those numbers and have to start all over again and loose my easy pick numbers.
You would think that all the money that VA lottery pulls in that they would have the best developers to create this app with the best technology so this app will work flawlessly. At this stage this app is just a Prototype, there is no reason why in 2019 that an app has this many issues. Maybe the whole team needs to go back to the drawing board and maybe involve customer suggestions to help build a more efficient and fun app for the customers. Take your time with it and don’t let the push to prod date be a factor. I would rather wait longer for a great quality app instead of the “putting the lipstick on the pig and shoving it in approach” b/c that only hurts VA Lottery and does not help the customers hence this app’s ratings.

Worst App ever!!

At first, it seemed like a good idea to create an app for va lottery players. It’s a chance to complete your transactions on your phone to elevate going into the store. Upon trying the app I find out that you have to be near a lottery retailer for the app to connect via Bluetooth. So, I still have to go to the store to use app which takes the fun out of playing on your phone. Once you win on one of the instant scratch offs, you don’t receive your money as you will at retailer. It takes 3-5 business days to get your money. Playing the draw games is even worst. I hit for 400 on pick four and instead of having a barcode of some sort to take to retailer, they send your winnings trough a debt claim department and if you owe money(taxes, child support, student loans) they will take it. It’s not right being that you can take a 400 dollar winking ticket to any lottery retailer and cash it with no screen ad long as it’s not over 600. Then, if you receive your money after screen, you’ll still have to wait 3-5 days to get your money where it shouldn’t be like that. Overall, I really dislike the app on the fact that it’s so inconveniencing to the player.

Egames are a waste of time and money

With egames your able to play scratcher type games on your phone and pay digitally but you must be near a kiosk. So imagine standing near the lottery kiosk without using it. Very awkward, having to explain why you're near the kiosk but not using it and basically becoming free advertisement for VA Lottery by explaining how egames work. Played one game, it worked fine. Tried to play another after 5 attempts, I got various error messages about Bluetooth connectivity and just basic error message and to call the 1800 number. One good question for VA Lottery, if I’m on my phone playing an egame, how am I supposed to troubleshoot on my phone while on the phone with tech support, eventually, I’ll be asked to reset the phone and try again... not a convenient way of playing the lottery. Leave this app alone as far as playing, Great for checking numbers if you play them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!

The ONLY nice thing about this app is checking physical tickets. Other than that, the app is so unorganized and hard to use. I feel like they’re stealing my money on it. I’ve purchased mega millions and a few others and I cannot find my numbers to check them. It says there’s no history, except where I loaded money to the account and it still doesn’t have all the recent history. So I basically paid for tickets and now they’re gone but they have my money. It’s STEALING. The numbers use to show before they did the drawing but they’re gone now. I lost over $50. I will never put another dollar into this app. It’s so depressing. How would I even get my money out of it if I won? They should send out a notification when the drawing is pulled to let you know if you won or not. Too bad I can’t even check it manually. Thanks for stealing my money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP.
