Catalina compatible • works fine • no registration
By Guliver Foyle (Pcmac user)
Ignore the old reviews for version 1, this app, now in ver. 4, works well. Contrary to the older reviews, it does not request personal info or need revealing registration. (Read the "Version History", you'll see the removal.)
Caveat: I have not yet tried all the features. I've only used this for burning data to single layer Blu-rays. Can't comment on audio CDs, DMGs, or ISOs (yet.)
This worked great for burning from my Mac Pro (2013-later, 64 GB RAM) to my Pioneer BDR-XS06 external drive. This is with Mail, Safari, Chat, and App Store running. Writes @ 2X, verifies at 5X.
Since Toast Burn isn't working on Catalina, at least with my setup, this might be the only data burning app left standing. It could move 1st place if two features are added:
• Time estimation. If it could provide an estimate of time-to-complete for the burning and verification, I'd be able to multi-task better.
• Spanning. The one thing I loved about Toast Burn was that I could throw 200 GB of data at it and it would say "fine, you'll need XX discs, feed them as needed." This sounds like a maths excercise that Wei Li could easily work out.
All-in-all, I'm very satified with this product. Toast Burn costs the same but doesn't seem to work with MacOS Catalina. This does.

Upon launch, you’re forced to hand over all kinds of personal information
By AaronCP (Pcmac user)
You can’t even use a program you’ve PURCHASED without registering for an account. All the fields are required, including address? Unless you fork over this info, the app exits. Shady.

Hard to use no cd text
By KVG2183 (Pcmac user)
The program is complex. Not like it’s hard to use but drag and drop dose not work I spent the time to put in the CD text but when burned no CD text was there. $20 gone for a program worth nothing. I can get more free.
