Software Features and Description

1. Playback function: By assigning songs in the iPhone or iPad song library to the tiles, pressing the tile instantly plays back the assigned songs.

2. MG REC & PLAY lets you record live performance or instantly play back the music once you connect the MG series to your iPhone or iPad.

3. - Camera connection kit or Lightning to USB camera adapter, and USB cable are necessary to connect the MG series to iPhone or iPad.

4. The maximum recording time varies depending on the available space on the iPhone or iPad.

5. You can play back the song or sound effect that is assigned beforehand when necessary during an event.

6. Recorder function: 2-track recording from MG series STEREO (L/R) bus is possible.

7. It has nine banks and up to eight songs can be assigned on one bank.

8. - Recorder and player functions do not work simultaneously.

9. The sampling rate can be selected from 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, or 96 kHz.

Install MG Rec&Play - US app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "MG Rec&Play"
The search will reveal the MG Rec&Play - US app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once MG Rec&Play is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including MG Rec&Play.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use MG Rec&Play,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "MG Rec&Play" » then Click "Install".
- MG Rec&Play - US will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Needs sharing options.

As another reviewer noted, there’s no way to open recordings in another app for editing or sending via email/iMessage. You have to use file transfer in iTunes, which slows this process down considerably. I like the simplicity of the app, but it needs some more basic functions. I’ll stick with the excellent AudioShare for now, but as I just picked up a MG12XUK mixer, it would have been nice to use this app as well.
What Good Is This?

So I can record things, not listen to them, and not send them anywhere without sending them to my computer via cable and sync? Needs an update that likely won’t come. Sometimes it’s hard being a loyal Yamaha customer.
