Webcams for Pc

Our young daughter and I were looking at this app from around the world on my laptop yesterday, and I decided to download this app so we could view them on my phone. When I did I noticed that I had previously downloaded this app and then deleted it from my phone in the past, which I’d forgotten. Now that I’ve downloaded it again, I realize why I deleted it. The $4.99 in app purchase price to view all cameras would seem reasonable if there were indeed many live cameras to view. However, when looking at their map it appears there is only one in London, for example, which is completely ridiculous given the number of potential cameras to view there. The handful (175+) of cameras available even with the in app purchase makes the world seem very small place, and that’s not what I had hoped to share with our daughter. Sadly, I’m deleting the app again as there is no point in having it taking up space on my phone.

I’m a paid subscriber and have been for a very long time. Started with EarthCam since the beginning on a desktop. Love alto see cams from all over. And still do. I don’t pay for a lot of apps but I’ve always liked this site a lot and wanted to support it. But because of people using it as their own message board, it has become very hard to deal with. (Have you seen the insanity on the Michigan snowman cam?) Many times I just don’t use the app because of all of these people. There is a group of them and when you think it’s safe to use the app again, they show up in another cam. Why is this allowed to continue? Why can’t they take their group and make a fb group or something where people who don’t pay can roam free? This has been going on for a couple of years now! Before the update where you have to link fb or google, (btw I will never link my Facebook or Google accounts to it. I don’t link them to anything and I’m disappointed that you chose to incorporate this) I once jumped in asking that they take the conversation elsewhere and respect the fact that other people have paid for this app. But that angered them. A lot! Look I’m happy they connected but there are other platforms where they can go to chat and not have their dirty laundry out on a webcam site for all to see! This one group is ruining it for everyone especially those of us who have PAID!

I first bought this app to view crazy weather before it arrives here. I’m a paid customer... so when I found out the created an appletv app, I assumed my previous purchase would include access to the new Apple TV app. It does not. I ended up paying for the Apple TV app separately, assuming The Tv app would work similarly to & in conjunction with my already paid-for iPhone app. It does neither. The Apple TV app won’t let you search for cameras, it has a predetermined list that you can watch “schedule free” with payment. if the weather I’m curious to see coming isn’t in one of those predetermined locations, I’m not going to find it. Next, I hoped that since both the iPhone & TV apps are both paid for, I thought surely there must be a way to use the more navigable iPhone app to stream a specific camera onto the tv. I was wrong on that front too. This was a total waste of money, twice.

EarthCam technology is opening doors for people who would love to see the world and travel-but may have limited opportunity to do so. I finally had my first experience traveling to Europe last month. To be able to now scope out my top locations for future trips, I get a real-time glimpse into the atmosphere and determine my next trip. This app absolutely surprised me with how many cameras are available to view at any moment. Some are located in places I have never even heard of. I now have a sense of the unique landscapes in countries and places that I may not have otherwise ever known existed.
