  • Very Pleased!

For the money, it's a great app. This is a simple to use app with an easy interface that does what it says it will do. It provides a very good means of type-to-speech that is coherent and fairly natural sounding. The voices are not perfect, but way, way, better than most that I've sampled. I like that you can adjust speed and pitch of the voices which gives you even more flexibility. You will never fool anyone that this a real person speaking, but it's pretty convincing for the applications most people will use it for. Some others have suggested improvements which I agree with, and perhaps they will make those improvements. I bought the upgraded full version to use during a severe laryngitis period and was able to actually have fun conversing during dinners with my wife while not straining my voice! I saved several stock phrases like, "Oh really, tell me more." and "What happened next?" which I could just click on to keep the conversation going. All in all, I give it a great rating, and hope they upgrade it soon. Money well-spent!
  • Good App.

I like this app. I can't talk at times do to severe TMJ pain and severe anxiety. I like that it talks slowly and clearly and if you're using a period at the end of a sentence it stops then continues on. It also expresses how I'm feeling when using an exclamation point, ect...What I don't like is the advertisements at the top of the app while using it and you have to pay if you want to use more then what's offered for free. But otherwise I like it and will continue to use this app.
  • Very useful, but PLEASE make improvements

I love this app, and don't regret paying $4.99 for the full version at all, however, I do have a few suggestions to maximize it's usefulness: 1.) offer custom categorizing option for easier navigation through phrase list 2.) make the app auto-alphabetize phrases (in each category), for easier time finding phrases or words 3.) Rather than have the text box take up 95% of the screen, make it an "option of display", that way, the phrase cards can be displayed much larger, allowing someone with very limited mobility to scroll, and press the phrase(s) with ease
  • Excellent!

I have chronic laryngitis and use this app almost daily. I use it with a blue tooth speaker to make the volume loud enough for my hard-of-hearing husband to understand. The voices can be customized in settings to meet your needs.
