2. • Transfusion Administration enables a caregiver to positively identify the patient and verify the administration of blood products using bar-code technology by scanning the blood bank recipient document and comparing this to the donor bank label on the blood product.
3. • Specimen Collections enables a caregiver to positively identify the patient and verify specimen collections at the point of collection using bar-code technology.
4. • Breast Milk Management enables a caregiver to positively identify the patient and verify the management of breast milk by scanning the bottle labels to ensure the correct milk is going to the correct patient.
5. IMPORTANT: Cerner Bridge Medical solutions requires your organization to have a valid license and be on release 2015.01.01 or higher.
6. The solution provides using real-time collection lists and a standardized specimen collection process.
