Pros:

- The app allows easy search, play, and creation of playlists from local music, Tidal, and Qobuz.

- Multi-source playlist can be used on multiple players.

- The app does everything once set up properly.

Cons:

- The UI does not support iPhone X, and the top menus overlap the notch, making it difficult to tap.

- The UI looks outdated and needs improvement in terms of design and functionality.

- Some features like iPhone volume buttons controlling Linn volume, integration with now playing, and adding to playlist from the currently playing track are missing.

- Duplicate entries in Album view for albums with multiple artists need to be removed.

- Local caching of items is needed to quickly display album art and lists of albums.

- A lighter theme that doesn't feel depressing is needed.

- Better designed controls for play/next etc. are needed.

- Ability to have a default music server and remove other services not used from the sidebar is needed.

- The app is not properly compatible with Apple products, and some tracks from the media server are not available on some devices.

  • Does not support iPhone X, UI is pretty rough

    By Technology Poet (Pcmac user)

The UI does not support iPhone X, the top menus weirdly overlap the notch and not easy to tap. The UI in the app is pretty rough - circa 1990 music UI. A few improvements I’d like to see: •iPhone volume buttons control the app volume •integration with now playing (to allow volume adjust and next track from lock screen and Apple Watch) •Allow add to playlist from the currently playing track (super hard to create playlists while listening otherwise) •Remove duplicate entries in Album view for albums with multiple artists •Local caching of items to quickly display album art and lists of albums •A lighter theme that doesn’t feel depressing (think Apple Music) •Better designed controls for play/next etc. they look like a child drew them •Ability to have a default music server and remove other services not used from sidebar •Show album view or playlist view right away instead of an instruction to drop down the menu Happy to share more if the developers want to reach out to me.
  • Awful

    By Scotttttttttxxxxxxxxxxxx (Pcmac user)

I’ve been a the app user for 25+ years. This interface is a throwback. Kinsky, which I now use more frequently is better. Not properly compatible with apple products. I have it installed on 7 apple devices. On three it will show tracks from my media server but, when selected, will tell me the track is not available. iPhone 10 app crashes repeatedly, generally after two or three songs. the app,I love your equipment but am nearing the end of my rope. And it doesn’t help that you have shut down the community forum where others could help with solutions to issues.
  • One of the best audio apps there

    By J PDX (Pcmac user)

I can easily search, play and create playlists from local music, Tidal and Qobuz. Not only can you have a multi-source playlist, you can use that list on multiple players.
  • Nicely Integrated

    By daKarrot (Pcmac user)

This app does everything although it does take a little bit of effort to set up. But, now that mine is, it's amazing!
