I teach ESL and this app has a lot of potential. After a very brief review of the app, I have found many, many errors. Words and phrases have been used incorrectly and do not make any sense in the app (perhaps direct translations from common Chinese phrases?) Many "sentence" examples are incomplete -- they are not written using BASIC the app RULES OF GRAMMAR, and should NOT be presented to ESL students as formal examples of complete sentences in the app. Also, there are MANY words with incorrect and/or incomplete pronunciation symbols noted in the word lists and sentences -- entire categories of words that end in the the app "r" sound, like: regular, particular, spare, etc. For EVERY example, the symbol for the "r" at the end of the word is missing -- so the word, "regular" is displayed to be pronounced, "reg-yu-laa", the word, "spare" pronounced like, "spay-yaa", and "particular", "pa-tik-yu-laa." I had hoped that I could use this app in my classes. Due to the errors noted above, its use will be extremely limited, it can only be filtered and used as a reference tool for me, and NOT my students.
