  • Like the app but have a question

    By Zbroyar (Pcmac user)

    First of all, thank you: I really like the app. Most probably I missed something, so please help: Can’t find a way to plot a function over intervals like "f(x) is equal to 0 if x < 0, equal to 1 if x < 10 and 2 otherwise". I can define such a function like the following: f(x) = x<0? 0 : (x < 10 ? 1 : 2) But Plot(f(x), x=[-1,11]) show empty result.
  • Good interface, minor things to fix

    By garrekds (Pcmac user)

There are a lot of welcome improvements over version 5. I especially like the new interface. One problem is that the “toggle sidebar” menu item does not always work. It would also be nice if this had a keyboard shortcut. There are also fewer options now, which does make the interface cleaner. Colors are now relegated to inline commands, which allows for greater flexibility. I do think there should be few more options available. One simple thing I have run across so far is changing an output from a fraction to a decimal. In this app 5, if you pressed enter and the output was a fraction, a second press of “enter” would give you a decimal. This feature is gone in this app 6 and I miss it.
  • Running Fine in Yosemite

    By Circus Geek (Pcmac user)

Pomegranate appears to have fixed whatever ailed the version 7 interface, it appears to work as nicely as versions 5 & 6. I’m revising my rating to reflect my overall satisfaction and enjoyment of this package. I’m working on being able to “roll my own” mathamatical software in Python, but still enjoy this flexible and approachable tool. The learning curve is drastically easier than Sage albeit less powerful. I’m happy to see it it running well again.
  • Great app takes a false step forward

    By byron426 (Pcmac user)

I loved version 5 of this app. This version has great potential, but doesn’t quite reach it. At the very least, it should retain all of the functionality of the previous version. It’s a bit disconcerting to find functions that work just fine in version 5 give a message of:”Error: this function is not yet implemented”. What is that? I’m surprised and disappointed in the developer.
