1. The app displays both low resolution preview (*.LRV) and high resolution video files (*.MP4). Streaming of high resolution video files can be stuttering due to limited Wifi bandwidth of the GoPro Hero.

2. The Wifi Browser for GoPro Hero cameras allows you to download, stream, and delete files directly from a GoPro Hero camera over Wifi/WLAN.

3. - Enable Wifi ("app" or "phone+tablet" mode) on your GoPro Hero.

4. This app is an alternative app for controlling GoPro Hero cameras.

5. The default GoPro Wifi password is "goprohero".

6. If reloading content from the GoPro does not work properly then completely power off the GoPro by removing both the USB cable and the GoPro battery.

7. - Connect your GoPro using Wifi to your Mac.

8. Deletion requests of LRV files are ignored by the GoPro.

Would not connect to GoPro

Could not get this app to connect to a GoPro Hero 3 White camera, although the Mac could see the camera's wi-fi node. The GoPro app could see and connect to the camera, so the problem appears to be with this app. Contacted the app creator's support email address and they responded quickly with a few things to try, but a second message saying those suggestions did not help went unanswered. It should be noted that even if this app can see the camera, it apparently is not possible to have a Mac connected to it and to the Internet at the same time. Thus, this app does not offer a way to move photos from the camera to a web site, stream a view, or anything like that. (This is not to imply the app says it does this and fails in that regard, just that it's not a solution for someone wanting to do that.)

Took the risk and downloaded it. Works just fine! At first I was a little worried because I couldn’t login to GoPro’s the app on my iMac with the default password provided above, but that is not this app’s fault. In order to login you will have to enter the password you created and luckily I guessed it right. So if you can’t remember or figure out your GoPro’s password, I would not buy this. Other than that, the video downloaded right away and was good to go. Two things to be aware of: there is no internet connection when you are connected and the videos are somewhat, annoyingly, played in a seperate window.

I did not read the reviews before I bought this app…I was in a hurry and that is my fault. That said, this app does work as advertised. I wanted to preview videos my son shot and the app counts them like it knows they are there but they don’t show up, only the pics do. Maybe I am doing somethin wrong and am open to suggestions otherwise this thing is useless. Apple needs to step in and remove this app and refund people their money.
