Does not work with ANY iOS newer than 8!!

Basically does not work with any Apple device unless you haven't updated in the last two years. This product seems really awesome but is completely let down by the app. As previous reviews said, I can access and stream anything from a USB device but I can't upload anything from my mobile device, which is the whole purpose I purchased. I called the app support and they said it was a hardware issue with the device that won't work on anything newer than iOS 8.
Won't let me put stuff from device to storage

Works okay as far as accessing stuff already on the storage device but I can't transfer stuff from my phone to the hard drive. Kind of pointless if you can't do both. Needs update.
Disappointing

I paid $12 for the wifi gizmo. The software is terrible. I can transfer files FROM an USB device but not to a USB device. That totally defeats the purpose of having the gizmo. It's a good idea let down by terrible software.
Crashing!

App keeps crashing. Also can't see local content. Very frustrating, app works on husband's not Apple phone flawlessly.
