Misleading
By Cleric 07 (Pcmac user)
The way this seems to work is it gives you the average tempo at any given time. The idea is: if you're tapping along to a song, it will give you a more constant, accurate reading. Traditionally, a the app tempo would only tell you the tempo between the last two taps. This averaging should work well, however..
There is a bug. Fairly often, when you do the first the app, it will think that you've tapped some very low tempo like 20bpm. This completely breaks the average and you have to the app for a long time to get even close to the correct tempo.
It would be good if they fixed this.

Thank You Norman Sander

In a world of overhyped apps built on premium currency sold to children and oil barons' heirs, this app stands out for doing exactly what it says it will do. Thank you Norman Sander for giving us a simple tool that solved a specific problem. 🏆 I often write songs while disconnected from crap and distractions. I scribble out a song and use this app to get the bpm out of my head and into the paper. ✌️

Found the beat!
By froggsie (Pcmac user)
I love, love this app! When I practice at home, I don’t always remember the bpm we rehearsed at during rehearsal and I invariably practice too slowly at home. With this app, I can the app out the beat at rehearsal and make a note in my music. Then I just set the metronome and know I am practicing the speed needed for rehearsal!! This is a valuable tool for me and i’m thrilled I found it!

Works great
By KCelmz (Pcmac user)
My only issue with this app is that I think there should be an option to hear a clicktrack. I use this taptempo when writing new music and it would be nice to be able to hear the tempo while writing so I can hear that the different sections of the song are at the same tempo. If that is added I would definitely give 5 stars
