- Download an Android emulator for PC:

- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Pure Sudoku on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Pure Sudoku"

I love this app! Newest update is annoying and frustrating!

Like other reviewers, I absolutely love this app. I don’t really play games on my phone, but this app gets a lot of my attention. It’s thoughtfully designed, the puzzles are the right level of challenging, and the interface is clean and easy.
The newest update is driving me crazy though! The pulsing dark shading on the square you’ve selected makes it very difficult to see any notes you’ve made and removing the horizontal and vertical highlighting is now less intuitive. Also, it used to subtly shade all other numbers on the board that correspond with the number you’ve selected (select 4, all 4s on the board are shaded). This is no longer here, either. Super frustrating!
At the very least, give us the ability to toggle these settings on or off so we can customize the experience. I just stopped halfway through a game in frustration so I could write this review and it’s the first app review I’ve ever written!
5-star app all the way, but I’m taking one star off because of these changes.

I really like that it’s so clean — just Sudoku.
Unlike other reviewers, I wouldn’t like more bells and whistles — except as options I’d personally decline.
Two issues I’d note:
I’d prefer some indication each time of where I stood. I assume that sometimes my times are too slow to be included in average (although wonder about this when I have Masters games <12 minutes). But in any case, would prefer to know — something like: ‘the average time x people completed this game was y’
When you discard a puzzle for whatever reason, that puzzle comes up again in the the next few.
But these are very minor issues in a wonderful game I spend entirely too much time playing.

Love but I need dark mode

I love this app. It is simplistic like the paper one and you get your time as well as a comparison against others who solved the same sudoku. The only improvement I would like is a dark mode. I like playing this before going to bed and dark mode would make this experience even better.

Indicate Open Games

I love your app and play quite often on both my iPhone and iPad. During the many opening and closing of the program, as well as moving from device to device, I wonder what level game I my have open so I could continue that same game. I would very much appreciate if you could program in some sort of indicator to show a current open game.
